In 2024, David and Victoria Beckham decided to ditch the penthouse lifestyle for mansion glamour, trading their ultra-luxe penthouse for a mega-mansion overlooking Biscayne Bay. Described in its original listing as one of “Miami Beach’s most significant estates,” the 14,270-square-foot property boasts 124 feet of private waterfront real estate, a Gatsby-style dock, and panoramic views of the city, including Nu Stadium, where his team, Inter Miami CF, plays. In addition to its nine bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the home features a spa, a rooftop fit for entertaining, and towering 12-foot floor-to-ceiling windows to let in the Florida sunshine. The mansion was originally listed for $80 million, but the couple snagged a deal, paying $72.3 million and setting the record price for a home on North Bay Road.

Drake may now be eager to part ways with his Beverly Hills mansion, but the singer originally paid $75 million to add the 20-acre property to his real estate portfolio. The Tuscan-style estate sits on 20 acres of land with 24,800 square feet of living space, 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a whopping 11-car garage, a wine cellar, a tennis court, a screening room, and a private gym. The home features towering French doors throughout and nine functional fireplaces.

In 2024, designer Tom Ford took his real estate portfolio across the pond to London’s posh Chelsea neighborhood. There, he purchased a white stucco-front mansion just a short walk from Hyde Park and the River Thames. The home’s amenities remain private, but the sale was one of the most expensive residential transactions in the United Kingdom that year, bringing in the equivalent of $140 million.

When Jeff Bezos went house hunting, he wasn’t just searching for prime views and vast square footage. He was hoping to find a home with character, charm, and a decent dose of history—and in February 2020, he did. The business mogul now owns the illustrious Warner Estate, a historic nine-acre compound in Beverly Hills, with only two previous occupants: Jack L. Warner, the cofounder of Warner Bros. Studios, and David Geffen, the cofounder of DreamWorks Records. Bezos paid $165 million for the storied Neo-Georgian mansion.

Mark Zuckerberg holds the record for the most expensive home sale in Miami-Dade County ever. The tech tycoon and his wife, philanthropist and pediatrician Priscilla Chan, dropped $170 million on their waterfront mansion on Florida’s Indian Creek Island, a well-known enclave for the ultra-rich. Their estate boasts 200 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage accompanied by a private dock. Inside, the massive mansion accommodates nine bedrooms, about 15 bathrooms, and features a private hair salon, jazz lounge, and an opulent Himalayan salt-wall sauna.

Topping off the list is celebrity power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The pair broke California price records with the purchase of their brutalist-style Malibu mansion on “Billionaires’ Row,” just off the Pacific Coast Highway. Outfitted in minimalist flair, the glass-and-concrete home clocks in at 30,000 square feet, with seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and eight acres of oceanfront bluff. As for amenities, the property features a private beach, a basketball court, and a climate-controlled art gallery. Bey and Jay dropped a cool $200 million on the home. California ranks second in the nation for the most expensive real estate market, with a median home value of $780,000 to $809,000.
