In recent decades, secret, low-key weddings have become the ultimate Hollywood trend.

News broke when Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz married in front of only four people in June 2011, while Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup were spotted at a courthouse in June 2023.

On the other hand, Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband Malcolm McRae kept their nuptials under wraps for two years before revealing it themselves. And Tom Holland subtly confirmed he had recently married Zendaya.

Here are 13 celebrity couples who have had some of the most secretive weddings.

Tom Holland proposed to Zendaya over the 2024 holiday season, a family source confirmed to PEOPLE. The actress later debuted her 5-carat East-West diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025.

But the couple, who met on set in 2016 while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming, remained coy about their relationship milestone.

By March 2026, though, Zendaya’s long-term stylist and friend, Law Roach, told reporters at the Actor Awards that the pair had tied the knot. “The wedding has already happened. You missed it,” he said to Access Hollywood.

Zendaya further fueled the speculation a few weeks later when she presented an award at the 2026 Oscars wearing what appeared to be a wedding band. Eventually, in June 2026, Holland publicly confirmed their marriage.

In an interview with Esquire, the Spider-Man star shared that when his grandmother saw the AI-generated wedding photos of the pair, she thought she hadn’t been invited to the ceremony.

However, when asked if any other family members were fooled by the fake pictures, he replied, “No, because they were all there.”

A few months earlier, the actress sparked engagement rumors when she was spotted with a diamond ring. After photos of the pair wearing what looked like bridal attire and matching wedding bands were published, Watts confirmed the news on Instagram.

Watts shared a photo of herself, wearing a white floral lace dress and holding a simple bouquet of white flowers, and Crudup, who donned a sleek navy suit without a tie, standing on the courthouse steps. She captioned the post with one word, “Hitched! 🕊️🪢♥️.”

During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark in January 2024, Watts shared additional details about the spontaneous ceremony. “Nothing was planned because we wanted to keep it low-key,” she said. “I even got my flowers from a bodega on the corner.”

During an October 2022 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Roberts opened up about her life as a wife and mom-of-three, calling her 20-year marriage to Moder one of her “[dreams] come true.”
