Jack Whitehall and Roxy Horner tied the knot over the weekend, and not everything at their £250k wedding went to plan as the comedian suffered a humiliating moment
Jack Whitehall ‘s £250,000 wedding to Roxy Horner was beautiful but featured a hugely humilating moment for the comedian. The pair got married at a 17th century Cotswolds manor but thanks to a wardrobe malfunction, the star-studded guestlist were treated to the sight of Jack’s bottom.
The wedding was attended by the likes of Jack’s former A League Of Their Own co stars Jamie Redknapp and James Corden, actor Douglas Booth and David Gardner, as well as his family and hers. Jack and Roxy’s daughter Elsie was a flower girl and when Jack bent down to pick her up, his Tom Ford trousers split.

The comedian told Vogue: “I squatted down to pick up Elsie and my trousers split, my whole a*** was hanging out.” As such, he had to change into his back-up suit, which was from Dunhill. He and Roxy added that, despite the moment, it was “very sweet” when Elsie walked down the aisle, as she shouted “Daddy, daddy” as Jack teared up.
Most of the rest of the ceremony seemed to go to plan, and friends and family partied until 2am. But there was another moment when Jack was heckled by his friends.
They could be heard shouting “sh**ger” at him at the start of the ceremony, which was a reference to a moment during Jack’s 2019 appearance on Who Do You Think You Are? In the episode, he learned that his great-great-grandfather had died of syphilis, leading him to call his ancestor a “bit of a sh*gger”.
Jack was apparently very nervous for the day. A friend told Mail Online: “Forget the nerves that came with hosting the BRIT Awards, this is so much more tense. He’s so very excited and has been looking forward to the day but it’s a big moment.
“He has hosted some of the biggest shows in showbiz, last week it was Saturday Night Live, but standing up to make a groom’s speech is much more daunting.”
It’s not just his speech that he was worried about. Jack previously hinted that his brother will get his “revenge” in his best man speech after Jack took a few “low blows” at his sibling’s own wedding.
He told The Sun: “I gave quite a savage speech at his wedding. There were a few low blows he wasn’t too appreciative of. He’s going to have his opportunity to get his revenge on the big day. I’m bracing myself for that.”
He also joked to Jonathan Ross that the wedding would be “Downton Abbey meets EastEnders“. Talking on the Jonathan Ross Show, he said: “My family are gilet-wearing chinless toffs, and her family are proper Cockney, all West Ham fans, proper salt of the earth. It’s the first time our families are ever coming together. I’ve met her family, but my family have not met her family.”
The comedian’s opening monologue on Saturday Night Live UK also poked fun at the day. He jokingly said that he was “praying for another pandemic” so that the wedding could be just him and Roxy. The pair met in 2020 and got engaged in December 2024, a year after the birth of their daughter.
