Following a successful showcase in Bangalore earlier this year, Aalekh Arts & Culture Foundation unveiled Shades of Grey, a contemporary art exhibition featuring works by Divyaman Singh, at the Main Art Gallery, Bikaner House, Delhi, with an exclusive preview evening held on May 29. The exhibition was open to the public till June 1, and explored the layered emotional landscapes of womanhood through abstract contemporary landscapes.Shades of Grey brought together a series of evocative oil-on-canvas works where the artist explored the nuanced emotional spectrum of women through atmospheric landscapes rendered in tonal greys, textures, and shifting horizons. Rather than depicting the female form, the works created contemplative spaces where emotion was suggested through movement, depth, and abstraction.The exhibition reflected upon quiet resilience, introspection, strength, vulnerability, memory, and the many emotional layers often carried within the experience of womanhood. Through monochromatic landscapes and abstract horizons, the works invited viewers into deeply reflective emotional terrains.
