Nicole Kidman might have lived a life of red carpets and Hollywood glitz, but when it comes to cars, the Oscar-winning actress prefers something far more modest, a Subaru.
The revelation comes as Kidman, 58, finalizes her divorce from country music star Keith Urban after nearly 20 years of marriage. The split has put the spotlight not only on their reported combined net worth of $519 million but also on their shared passion, or lack thereof, for cars.

While Urban is described by Kidman as a “car person,” the Eyes Wide Shut actress has never hidden her indifference toward high-octane machines. Speaking to Victoria Beckham in a Vogue Australia interview, she admitted her husband once surprised her with a Lamborghini. The gift, however, went largely untouched.
“So here’s the thing. My husband bought me a Lamborghini,” Kidman said. “But I drive a Subaru and he drives the Lamborghini.” She added that Urban, a self-described “Queensland boy,” simply loves fast cars.
Urban’s taste for performance vehicles runs deep. His $6.5 million collection reportedly includes a Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F430, Rolls-Royce Spectre, 1969 Ford Mustang Restomod, and a black Mercedes S-Class, among others. A black Range Rover Sport is said to be his daily driver.
Kidman, by contrast, admits her automotive priorities are basic. “I do like a bit of air conditioning,” she quipped, making it clear she’s content to let others fuss over horsepower and torque.
The actress once described herself as a “passenger princess,” happy to let her then-husband indulge his passion. But as the two part ways, questions linger about the fate of Urban’s multimillion-dollar garage — and whether Kidman will ever decide to embrace a flashier ride of her own.
