Flavor Flav reveals he has not received an invitation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding despite his super fandom status as “King Swiftie.”
“No, I didn’t get an invite to the wedding. I ain’t expect one. You know what I’m saying? The whole nine,” Flav, 66, told People in an interview published on Saturday.
“But they know they got my blessings and if she invites me, you dig? All right. I’m going. King Swiftie going to be at the wedding.”
The rapper, who has long been a fan of the pop star, 36, and her romance with the NFL player, also 36, previously gushed over the couple’s engagement in August and doubled down on his offer to officiate her wedding.
“I knew this was going to happen,” Flav told TMZ at the time. “I could not wait for the day [the engagement] happened. Now my girl Taylor is engaged to my boy. I’m stoked!”
“I can’t wait for the wedding,” he continued. “Not only that, but, when y’all get married, let your boy Flavor Flav be the officiator. I would love to officiate the wedding.”
The hype man-turned-reality star went on to wish the couple the “longest and prosperous marriage ever.”
“King Swiftie in the building giving all of my blessings,” he concluded.
In January, he couldn’t help but rave about the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker as he told Page Six that she was the “biggest touchdown Travis Kelce has ever scored.”
The Public Enemy band member first linked up with Swift in March 2023 when he met her at the iHeartRadio Awards. They later reconnected the following year at the Grammy awards.
He also made several appearances at the singer’s Eras Tour last year.
“I always go hard for Taylor Swift. The Swifties, they know how hard I go in for Taylor Swift,” Flav told People of his relationship with Swift in March.
“The Swifties gave me a brand new name called King Swiftie. So I’m King Swiftie. I’m king of all the Swifties, and Taylor, she knows that too. I love her. I love her work. She’s one of the most important artists of our time. I don’t know no other musical artists that can throw a concert, and it hits the Richter scale. She causes earthquakes.”
