Celebrity Event Planner David Tutera Lists His $5.9 Million Home

Just seven homes make up the tony Country Ridge neighborhood in Calabasas, and one of them belongs to party maestro David Tutera.

The in-demand event planner and lifestyle expert, who’s put on shindigs for celebs like Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey, has put his own spin on the seven-bedroom manse, evident in touches like a bedroom with textured gold wallpaper and a floral-print laundry room. Records show Tutera has owned the 5,765-square-foot residence sitting on almost nine acres of land since 2016, when he scooped it up for $3.4 million. Now up for sale at $5.9 million, James Ruhmel and Paige Gordon at Corcoran Icon Properties holds the $5.9 million listing.

The massive spread includes several formal and informal gathering spaces, with the gleaming chef’s kitchen serving as the heart of the home. The black-and-white space is outfitted with Wolf, Sub-Zero, and ASKO appliances, including several ovens so you can have multiple dishes going at once. If you’d rather outsource some of the cooking—or hide the mess—there’s a secondary catering kitchen, while a butler’s pantry tacks on additional storage space. When the weather’s nice, as it tends to be in Southern California, you can take advantage of the outdoor kitchen and BBQ pavilion.
