Cat ring bearers? A tearful groom? As details emerge from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s private July 3 wedding in New York City, some rumors are proving more accurate than others.
With details from the ceremony inside Madison Square Garden still tightly under wraps, fans have spent days trying to piece together what really happened — and whether the internet’s favorite wedding rumors hold any truth.
One guest is helping separate fact from fiction. During an interview with Access Hollywood guest correspondent Lauren Herbert at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, former NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick weighed in on some of the internet’s most talked-about wedding rumors.

“I don’t know if I’m at liberty to say any of this, you know…” Fitzpatrick started. “That one is false,” he quickly added.

When asked whether the Chiefs quarterback delivered the rings with one of his signature passes, Fitzpatrick laughed off the speculation. “That one is also false.”
True or false: ‘Love Story’ played as Swift walked down the aisle?

“Um … yes, and I may have cried,” he admitted. “It was very emotional but also fun and funny too. It had all the feels.”
True or false: Travis was more emotional than Taylor?
True.
When asked whether Kelce was more emotional than Swift during the ceremony, Fitzpatrick didn’t hesitate. “That would be true.”
As for what exactly brought the groom to tears, Fitzpatrick wasn’t giving away any more details.

“I don’t know about that one,” Fitzpatrick said when asked about the Oscar winner’s reception reputation.
But one thing he was willing to confirm: the dance floor stayed busy.
“I mean, look, we put the hours on the dance floor. I know that. Everybody had a great time,” Fitzpatrick said.
While the former NFL quarterback offered a handful of answers, other guests have been just as careful about what they’re willing to reveal.
“BBC Radio 1 Breakfast” host Greg James had perhaps one of the toughest jobs of all: keeping quiet.
“Do you know how difficult it’s been to keep this a secret doing a radio show every day?” James said.
The longtime Swift friend revealed that the singer personally invited him during an appearance on his show last October.
“By the way, thanks for the invite to the wedding,” James recalled telling her.
“You’re so welcome,” Swift replied.

Since the wedding, James has shared only a few carefully selected details, comparing the tents surrounding the venue to a “car wash” and revealing there were “multiple cakes” and “unlimited” food options.
While he remained tight-lipped about most of the celebration, James did share one memorable detail.
“There was an open invitation to get up onto the stage and dance while the DJ was on,” James said. “And so I did.”
The dance floor anecdote is just one of the few details to emerge from the tightly guarded affair, which former NFL tight end Greg Olsen later described on his podcast, “Youth Inc.,” as the “event of the century.”
Beyond the star-studded guest list, Olsen said the atmosphere is what stood out most.
“I think the environment that was created — no phones, no cameras — everyone could just be themselves, enjoy the night, enjoy Travis and Taylor,” he said.
And perhaps that’s why so little has emerged about the wedding in the days since: the couple’s guests appear determined to keep most of the memories exactly where they were made, inside the room.
