Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s recent wedding was one for the history books. Details are slowly coming out about the wedding itself, but based on the legendary location (Madison Square Garden aka the most famous arena in the world) and guest list alone (which allegedly included around 1,000 people), I think it’s safe to say, nothing else will top this wedding for another year — and possibly ever again.

But, there have been so many memorable celebrity weddings over the years that deserve an honourable mention. From secret weddings that we’re still talking about to the weddings that broke records for how many people tuned in to watch, here are the most iconic celebrity weddings in modern history:
1. Just two years after their meet-cute in LA, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner tied the knot this spring. The two stars exchanged vows in an intimate London ceremony before flying to Italy for a extravagant weekend-long celebration.

The couple got married at the Villa Valguarnera in Silicy with 300 guests present including A-listers like Elton John, Joe Alwyn, Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, and Grace Gummer.
2. When Celine Dion married her record manager and longtime partner, René Angélil, in 1994, it instantly became the most-watched celebrity wedding in Canadian history.

The French-Canadian couple were married at the historic Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, shutting down the streets of Old Montreal. The wedding was such a big deal that cameras were camped outside the church to broadcast on the highly-anticipated event on national television.

3. From their rehearsal dinner at the Palace of Versailles in France, to their star-studded 200-guest wedding in Florence Italy, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s lavish 2014 wedding truly spared no expense.

After months of speculation and the release of AI-generated photos, Tom Holland finally confirmed that he and his new wife, Zendaya, tied the knot in a private ceremony at some point over the last year. He didn’t share any other details about the big day except to say that their closest friends and family were present.

5. In 2025, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez took over Venice, Italy for their three-day wedding event.

The wedding easily became one of the most publicized events of the year due to its star-studded guest list, which included A-listers like Oprah Winfrey and the Kardashians, billionaires like Elon Musk and Bill Gates, members of the Jordan royal family.

6. David and Victoria Beckham made headlines when they got married at a Irish castle in 1999. While Victoria wore a custom champagne-coloured Vera Wang wedding gown for the ceremony, the couple decided to wear matching purple outfits to their reception.

For their 25th wedding anniversary, the couple slipped into their iconic reception looks and shared the photos on social media saying, “Yep, still got it! 🤣 Can’t believe it’s been 25 years and they still fit!”
7. Beyoncé and Jay-Z chose the most lowkey setting and vibe for their 2008 wedding, opting to use their New York City penthouse for the entire event and forgoing a traditional wedding party.

8. If we had to make a list of the most expensive weddings of all time, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas would be near the top. The couple reportedly spent between 1.5 and 2 million dollars on their New York City wedding.

11. In 1981, Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding became the most watched wedding of the year, decade, and century with nearly 750 million people watching from around the world.

20. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker became the bride and groom to watch in 2022 when the couple decided to tie the knot in not one, but three separate ceremonies.
After eloping to Las Vegas for an unofficial wedding, the two stars walked down the aisle in a courthouse wedding in Santa Barbara the following month. Their gothic-glam Italian wedding came just a week after that with entire Kardashian-Barker family and several A-list celebs in attendance.
21. George and Amal Clooney’s fairytale romance began in 2013, when they met at dinner party George that hosted at his home in Lake Como. The pair returned to Italy just a year later to tie the knot in a lavish Venice wedding that lasted four days.

24. And finally, Twilight star Taylor Lautner married his longtime partner, Taylor Dome, in a beautiful vineyard wedding in California in 2022.

Tay had the opportunity to do the funniest thing by changing her last name, and she did, becoming the other Taylor Lautner. The couple announced they’re expecting their first baby on social media, captioning the photo: “What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?🤍” Simply iconic.
