Celebrity interviews are great because you get to find out all of the latest goings-on from your favorite people. But sometimes, things go completely off the rails, making for a seriously awkward or uncomfortable moment.

With that in mind, here are 18 awkward celebrity interview moments from November.

3. Hilary Duff refused to confirm or deny whether she was calling out Leonardo DiCaprio on her new song “Mature.”

The song appears to be directed at an older man who tends to date younger women. Rumors escalated when Hilary‘s husband, Matthew Koma, posted an image of Leonardo’s Titanic character holding the “Mature” cover, and when Hilary was asked about it, she said she was “not confirming” or “denying anything.”

4. Danielle Fishel revealed that her son was so upset about her being on Dancing with the Stars that he told his teacher she had died.

Later, she recalled: “He bursts into tears and says: ‘I hate this job, why did you take this job?! All you do is dance, dance, dance — that’s all you do, you never get to hang out with me and Keaton anymore! I want you to quit, are you going to quit or not?’”

Danielle told him she wouldn’t quit because she “really loves” the show — but she was eliminated not long after.

5. Minka Kelly looked annoyed, frustrated, angry — all the things — when she was asked to talk about her relationship with Dan Reynolds on an episode of Today.

6. Olivia Munn said she got food poisoning from eating sushi in the tub.

7. Instead of taking the opportunity to denounce racism amid the ongoing backlash to her American Eagle “great [genes]” ad, Sydney Sweeney chose not to make any significant comment at all.

She told GQ: “I think that when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear.”

8. Jordyn Woods checked an interviewer for making fun of her boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns’s voice. In the past, some people have used his voice and mannerisms to question his sexuality.

9. Kim Kardashian admitted she’d used ChatGPT for “legal advice” while studying to become a lawyer.

“So, when I am needing to know the answer to a question, I’ll take a picture and snap it and put it in there,” she told Vanity Fair.

Later that month, Kim revealed that she’d failed the bar exam; however, she plans to retake it.

10. Oliver Hudson revealed he didn’t let his wife’s friends bring their husbands to his and Erinn Hudson’s wedding.

“I didn’t want to be introduced to someone at my own wedding when I am sort of a private person,” he explained.

11. Raven-Symoné aired a podcast episode with Colleen Ballinger after fans urged her not to due to grooming allegations against Colleen.

In the episode, Colleen continued to deny the accusations, telling Raven, “I know that my intention and my actions have never been fueled with the desire to manipulate or groom anybody, ever. That has never been something I have done or will ever do. It’s a very serious accusation.”

12. Timothée Chalamet turned a sweet moment about how kids “could be on the radar” for him into a PR nightmare when he went on to call the child-free life “bleak.”

14. Maya Hawke revealed that her own mom told her to “keep [her] shoes on” while working with Quentin Tarantino, who is alleged to have an obsession with feet.

15. Kayla Nicole addressed her viral Toni Braxton Halloween costume, which many believed shaded Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. However, in the interview — taped before Halloween — she said that it was inspired by someone else.

According to Kayla, it was inspired by someone, mysteriously named Taylor, whom she knew from childhood.

16. Khloé Kardashian made it clear that she does not like Kim Kardashian’s pubic hair thongs.

She told Elle, “I’m not for that. I love Kim, but I can’t handle it. [It’s] too much for me.”

17. Jennifer Lawrence spoke about director David O. Russell’s notoriously abrasive directing style. For context, he’s been caught berating Lily Tomlin while filming I Heart Huckabees, allegedly attacked Christopher Nolan at a 2004 party, and has been accused of making Amy Adams cry on set. Jennifer said she “never felt like he was degrading” her when they worked together — though, in the words of many viewers, she proceeded to “describe cruel and degrading behavior.”

18. Finally, Tom Brady cloned his dog.

He said the procedure was done using a “simple blood draw” before she died.
