ADAM Peaty’s upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay is the latest celebrity nuptials to spark a family feud after claims they’ve banned his mother Caroline from attending.
The three-time Olympic gold medallist’s sister Bethany is said to be the only member of his family attending the ceremony, with things between Adam, 30, and his parents reportedly at an “all time low”.
But his wedding to Gordon and Tana Ramsay’s daughter isn’t the first to cause a very public divide.
Here we take a look at the big days that caused big problems.
The Beckhams
David and Victoria Beckham are currently involved in a feud with their eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, which is said to have been simmering since the young couple’s own wedding.
Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 30, tied the knot in 2022, with the fall-out starting after the actress refused to wear one of fashion designer Victoria’s designs for the ceremony.
Since then Brooklyn and Nicola have skipped big family moments like retired footballer David’s 50th birthday celebrations and failed to congratulate him on his recent knighthood.
Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews
Former Made In Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Spencer Matthews recently opened up about their fall-out, which stemmed from Spencer – who went sober in 2018 – skipped 37-year-old Jamie’s boozy stag do in 2023.
Jamie then didn’t invite Spencer, 37, and wife Vogue Williams to his and Sophie Habboo’s nuptials – leaving his former pal feeling “pretty hurt”.
Speaking on Jamie’s Great Company podcast in September, Spencer said: “I’m sure it wasn’t malicious from you, at least I’d like to think it wasn’t.”
Jamie said: “I was like, ‘It’s going to be complicated if I try and invite him, it’s like a small thing for lunch and will he want to come and do that?’”
But Spencer insisted: “For the record I would have loved to have been there and I would have flown from anywhere to be there. You’ve always been a very important person to me.”
Britney and The Spears family
Britney Spears‘ has a famously strained relationship with her family following a 13-year conservatorship.
The legal arrangement was officially terminated in November 2021 and pop superstar Britney, 43, made her feelings towards mum Lynne, 70, dad Jamie, 73, and sister Jamie Lynn, 34, very clear when she left them off the guest list for her wedding to Sam Asghari the following year.
Britney’s older brother Bryan was thought to have declined an invite to the ceremony, but she later raged on social media: “You were never invited to my wedding, so why even respond???
“Do you honestly think I want my brother there?”
Britney and Sam, 31, split two years after getting married in December 2024.
Kim v Kourtney
Family fall outs on the Kardashians’ reality show are nothing new but things between Kim, 45, and Kourtney, 46, exploded in 2023 over the latter’s Italian wedding to Travis Barker the previous year.
Kourtney and Travis, 49, tied the knot in Italy in a ceremony hosted by designers Dolce and Gabbana.
And the oldest Kardashian sister was left raging when Kim signed a deal with the iconic brand months later.
She was seen telling their sister Kendall Jenner: “It’s not like I did their campaign and she did their campaign right after.
“It’s my actual wedding. That wasn’t a business deal for me. I did it because it felt really personal.”
But in a later episode Kim was seen firing back at her sibling, suggesting Kourtney actually copied her after she and ex-husband Kanye West said ‘I do’ in Italy 2014.
She said: “I got married in Italy. Am I saying you copied me by getting married in Italy?
“Who performed at my wedding? Andrea Bocelli. Who performed at Kourtney’s wedding? Andrea Bocelli.
“You stole my f****** wedding country and my wedding performer. Andrea Bocelli is my favorite male singer of all time, but I’m copying her dolce vita lifestyle? Okay.”
