What we know about Taylor Swift‘s wedding
The Swift-Kelce wedding is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated celebrity events of the year. While there’s no confirmed location, yet, experts have been able to rule out a few possibilities.
Early speculation suggested the ceremony would take place on June 13 in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, near Swift’s seaside home, but that theory was quickly ruled out when a luxury wedding planner publicly confirmed Swift was not tied to a June 13 ceremony at Ocean House, a luxury historic waterfront hotel in the area.
“I am the wedding planner for June 13th at the Ocean House in Rhode Island! Sorry to let you all know, Taylor is not my bride this weekend! Boo!” planner Tara Guérard commented on Instagram.
The town manager of Westerly, Shawn Lacey, was asked if there was any news of the wedding taking place in Rhode Island at an April town hall. He responded: “We have no knowledge of a wedding taking place in June. If there was one taking place in June, we would certainly have knowledge of it by now.”
Most fans speculate that the wedding will take place before the NFL training season starts in mid-July. Page Six suggested the event would be in New York over the July 3 weekend, but that could also be a red herring. Swift’s team did not reply to emails asking for clarification about the wedding.
For celebrity couples operating under intense public scrutiny, keeping wedding plans private often becomes part of the strategy itself.
Ahead of the Super Bowl, Christian McCaffrey told USA TODAY that maintaining privacy during his 2024 wedding to Olivia Culpo in Watch Hill required careful planning and trust in a tight circle.
“I have the best wife and she did a great job of doing that,” the 49er said. “I never have a hard time having fun and keeping it to myself or keeping it to us, but it can get so stressful. And I think I say I have the best wife because there’s nobody that plans better than her.”
A luxury wedding planner’s take on Swift-Kelce nuptials
For elite wedding planners, that need for privacy translates into intensive strategy and logistics behind the scenes.
“She’s probably the most followed and famous person out there right now,” said Valerie Edwards, president of Valerie Joy Events, which specializes in high-profile weddings. “More people are invested in Taylor Swift’s wedding than probably any other celebrity wedding out there.”
Edwards plans ultra-private ceremonies in the Big Sky, Montana area. To be clear, although Swift and Kelce have previously vacationed at the exclusive Yellowstone Club, there is no indication the couple plans to marry there.
“I love designing weddings that feel deeply personal, bringing my clients’ vision to life,” said Edwards. She has spent years working in Montana’s remote wedding landscape, where privacy and controlled access make it especially appealing for high-profile events.

Edwards said privacy is often the starting point for couples at Swift and Kelce’s level of fame.
She added guest lists are tightly monitored and transportation is coordinated in advance. Some guests may not even know the venue, instead receiving instructions for a central meeting point. Invitations may also include subtle markers to identify potential leaks.
Tightly controlled venues can provide airtight discretion, reinforced by what can feel like a sea of nondisclosure agreements for staff. Meanwhile, custom-built settings in a remote location like Montana can give couples the freedom to design every detail from scratch. That can create logistical challenges, “like planning a wedding in the middle of the ocean,” Edwards said. But if the couple can afford to fly in their guests and favorite vendors, a remote location could offer more privacy than an urban center like New York City.
Although Edwards said she has not worked with the engaged pop star, the planner has noticed some aspects of Swift’s style: “She doesn’t necessarily do trendy things or follow the book about what other people do.”
When details emerge — about the dress designer, color palette or caterers hired — the ripple effect will be immediate, Edwards said. In minutes following the engagement, the Ralph Lauren dress Swift wore in the announcement photos sold out. The same is likely to be true with Swift’s wedding aesthetics.
Not every couple can match Swift’s budget. However, Edwards said couples will look to replicate pieces of the design, the setting or the overall experience. Swift will likely set bridal trends for the rest of 2026.
Edwards said that whichever vendors, like florists, Swift works with, it could “transform” their careers. Although Edwards has not heard of specific plans for Swift-Kelce to get married in Montana, she knows the power of Swiftonomics and how the upcoming wedding will transform the bridal industry.
“I guarantee it, because when Taylor does something everybody wants to do what Taylor does,” she said.
