Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have reportedly split after less than a year of dating.
The two no longer felt “a spark” and realized they were better off as friends, a source told the Sun.
“The spark had gone between them but they still love each other’s company and they’ve both been really adult about it,” the source said.
Cruise, 63, and de Armas, 37, reportedly remain friendly.
“Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course,” the source also shared. “They are going to remain good friends but they aren’t dating anymore.”
“They just realized they weren’t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates,” the source continued.
Reps for both Cruise and de Armas didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The “Top Gun” star and the “Ballerina” actress were first rumored to be dating in February when they were spotted at dinner in London.
The two continued to be spotted together on multiple romantic outings, including when they enjoyed a boat ride during a private Spanish getaway in July.
They weren’t afraid to be together in public, as later that month they attended an Oasis concert at London’s Wembley stadium.
The pair were caught dancing to Oasis tunes in the background of English producer and DJ Goldie’s Instagram video, with Cruise reaching for de Armas’ hand at one point.
Though they never publicly spoke about their romance, they gave the clearest confirmation they were dating when they were snapped holding hands in Vermont in late July.
While appearing on “Good Morning America” in May, de Armas gushed over her “fun” relationship with Cruise, sharing that they are working together on “a few projects.”
Cruise was previously married to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990, Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001 and Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012.
The Cuban actress was previously married to Spanish actor and model Marc Clotet from 2011 to 2013, and is also no stranger to high-profile romances.
She dated Ben Affleck from 2019 to 2021 and was linked to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in 2024.
