According to a Page Six report, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement reportedly increased interest in antique gemstones and engraved wedding bands. In the meantime, it is also bringing more attention to the jeweler who created the ring. Now, wedding experts believe Swift’s wedding dress choice could inspire a similar trend among brides.
According to Dorothy Silver, Director of Merchandising at Kleinfeld Bridal, Swift’s influence extends far beyond music. “Taylor is a megastar,” Silver said, noting that brides often look to celebrity weddings for inspiration. Silver believes the Grammy-winning artist will combine classic bridal style with a modern and elegant look. “When she walks down the aisle, it’s going to be something that is an amazing, timeless gown,” Silver said.
Experts believe Swift may choose a wedding look that will be remembered for decades. While she has never been a bride in real life, she has worn wedding-inspired outfits in the past. Morgan McCullough, stylist at Kleinfeld Bridal, said she expects Swift to include a personal touch in her dress.
The bridal consultant said, “I think there may be something sentimental that only she and Travis know about, something that we may see but never really know what it means.” She emphasized that it could be “an item like that which can be sewn inside her dress. Or special initials embroidered inside her gown.”
Stars such as Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez famously wore several custom-designed gowns during their wedding celebrations. Still, bridal experts aren’t convinced she will take the same approach at her own wedding. “The Eras Tour showed us that Taylor is the master of quick changes,” McCullough said. “But, she’s also the type of person that seems like she would want to be very present at her wedding.”
