Taylor Swift’s Wedding: Word on the Street in Watch Hill
Could Watch Hill handle a Taylor Swift wedding?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will get married this summer at Ocean House in Westerly, according to a new exclusive report from Page Six.
The publication previously reported that the couple will get married in the state next summer. Now, Page Six has confirmed the wedding date as Saturday, June 13 – symbolic of Swift’s favorite or lucky number.
Reportedly, Swift wanted this specific date at Ocean House so badly that she paid another couple who were already set to wed that day to move their wedding, “multiple sources” tell Page Six. Notably, representatives for Swift and Ocean House did not respond to Page Six’s repeated requests for comment.
Back in September, Realtor.com columnist Kelsi Karruli confirmed the couple had chosen Swift’s Rhode Island house as their wedding venue. Page Six says that sources tell them the couple originally had their sights on Holiday House, but changed their venue to Ocean House just across the street after seeing how many people they wanted to invite.
Weddings at Ocean House
Located within eye’s view of Swift’s Holiday House, Ocean House is an award-winning seaside resort known for its rich history, breathtaking ocean views and luxurious accommodations.
Named the No. 1 wedding destination in the country by Brides magazine, Ocean House offers luxurious wedding accommodations inside and around the resort, with ceremony locations offered in the herb garden, on a lawn or by the beach and reception locations from lavish ballrooms to waterfront dune cottages.
What other celebrities have been married in Rhode Island?
If Swift and Kelce do get married in Rhode Island, they’ll be joining a long list of celebrities who have tied the knot in the scenic Ocean State.
As Gov. Dan McKee said on X just after the pair announced their engagement “Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying.”
Two of the biggest weddings to take place in Rhode Island were Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney in a 2019 ceremony in Newport, and then-Massachusetts Sen. John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier in September 1953.
Ocean House specifically has also been the site of various celebrity weddings, including most recently, the wedding of Rhode Island model and influencer Olivia Culpo and NFL star Christian McCaffrey.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce relationship timeline
Swift began dating Kelce in 2023, after the football player attended the Eras Tour concert in Kansas City on July 8 that year. Kelce afterwards admitted on a “New Heights” podcast episode that he wanted to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he failed to meet her at the concert.
After months of speculation, Swift made their relationship official by appearing at the Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023, during which she sat with his mom, Donna Kelce. The pair have been steadily dating since then, with Swift attending various Chiefs games and Kelce attending various concerts during the Eras Tour.
On Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, Swift announced their engagement on Instagram.
“Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married,” the superstar captioned a series of photos of the newly engaged couple in a rose garden, reportedly in the backyard of Kelce’s Kansas City home.
Will Travis Kelce move to Rhode Island?
While no move has been confirmed yet, the engagement suggests that Kelce will certainly be spending more time at his future wife’s house in the Ocean State. The football star previously visited the Watch Hill mansion to celebrate the birthday of Swift’s longtime friend Blake Lively in August of 2024, and he was rumored to return over Thanksgiving weekend of this year.
However, back in September, the couple was spotted house hunting in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, where Kelce is from, suggesting they may be looking to move to the Midwest.
