European cruises are often tied to the warmer months, but one luxury cruise line is changing that pattern with a new winter schedule.
The expanded program includes longer stays in some ports and more opportunities to see the Mediterranean outside the peak season.
For cruisers planning Europe in 2027 or early 2028, Oceania Cruises has announced 17 Mediterranean voyages for its first full winter season, giving passengers more dates to visit destinations including Barcelona, Rome, Athens and Istanbul.

Oceania Allura Sails 17 Winter 2027-2028 Mediterranean Cruises
Oceania Cruises announced October 1 that Oceania Allura will operate the company’s first full winter season in the Mediterranean.
The 17 voyages will range from nine to 26 days and sail between major European cities and ports. The line says the winter schedule is designed around cooler temperatures and a slower pace ashore.
Cruisers can also choose itineraries that spend more time in certain destinations.
The European collection includes overnight and extended stays in places such as Bordeaux, Hamburg and Florence/Pisa/Tuscany.

The expanded schedule also reaches smaller ports, including Golfo Aranci in Sardinia, Gythion and Skiathos in Greece, Kotor in Montenegro, Taranto in Puglia and Çanakkale, which provides access to the ancient ruins of Troy.
Oceania Cruises Chief Luxury Officer Jason Montague said the new schedule is intended to give travelers more ways to see Europe throughout the year.
“Europe is one of the most beloved cruise regions, and we are thrilled to offer our guests year-round opportunities to sail with us,” Montague said.
