2 min readAfter months of speculation, Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau have made their relationship public. Stepping out in Paris to celebrate the singer’s birthday, the couple was seen making their way to a car after catching a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris. Walking hand in hand, Perry donned a striking red dress, designed with thin straps, a straight-line silhouette, and an ankle-brushing hemline. Trudeau went for a classic gray suit, beaming as his beau accepted a rose from a fan.
The pop star and former Canadian Prime Minister first sparked rumors of a summer romance in Montreal, shortly after Perry’s separation from her then fiancé Orlando Bloom. Just days after having dinner, Trudeau looked absolutely smitten in the audience of the artist’s Lifetimes Tour July show, dancing and cheering her on. Two months later, the pair reconnected, caught looking loved up and packing on the PDA in Santa Barbara on Perry’s yacht. Last night, however, marked their first public date night (see photos here).
Perry and Bloom parted ways in June, ending a six-year-long engagement and a nine-year-long relationship, and have continued to co-parent their five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom. Trudeau, similarly, has been raising his three children with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage before separating in 2023.
Earlier this week, Perry celebrated the start of Scorpio season with photos from London, wearing appropriately themed Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Around her neck, she showed off the iconic Elsa Perretti scorpion necklace, crafted from sterling silver with the designer’s signature sculptural touch.
