Everything you need to know I’m A Celebrity winners over the years as the ITV show comes to an end.
- I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Has been a hit with fans since it first hit our TV screens back in 2002. The reality show, hosted by Ant and Dec, has featured some notable guests over the years. Celebs such as Rapper Aitch, Internet sensation Angry Ginge and Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley are taking part in the 2025 series. As the 2025 series is coming to an end with the final set to air tonight, let’s take a trip down memory lane to see who has taken the crown in the past.
- The first winner of I’m A Celebrity was Tony Blackburn, all the way back in 2002. The radio DJ and TV personality, who was 61 at the time, made it to the final three alongside Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and author Christine Hamilton. Tony’s victory was watched by a series average of 7.58 million people, with the first competition still needing some time to win over the rest of its audience. Kerry Katona was the first Queen of the Jungle just six months after the previous season. At this point, I’m A Celebrity was the biggest show on ITV and one of the most popular series in the country – and 2004 was the absolute peak.
- Danny isn’t the only McFly-Busted winner in I’m A Celebrity history, with Busted singer Matt Willis also clinching the title in 2006. EastEnders star Joe Swash swept to victory on I’m A Celebrity in 2008 after three weeks in the jungle camp. Joe proved so popular on I’m A Celeb that he stayed attached to the series, eventually hosting its supplementary chat show I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp between 2009 and 2018. Two years later, Joe’s new wife, Stacey Solomon, was announced as the Queen of the Jungle in 2010.
- After two years of Kings, Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison became the first Queen of the Jungle since EastEnders’ star Charlie Brooks in 2012. Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, I’m A Celebrity didn’t take place in Australia for the very first time in 2020 – instead, it was in a castle in Wales. Regardless, that didn’t stop Queen of the Castle Giovanna Fletcher from accepting her crown, becoming the second person associated with McFly to win the competition.
- In 2024, it was McFly singer Danny Jones who won the hearts of the public, more than a decade after his bandmate Dougie Poynter also managed to win. Danny was in the jungle with ex-Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, and former X Factor judge Tulisa, amongst a host of others. In the final, he managed to beat off competition from Rev Richard Coles and WAG Coleen Rooney to take the title of winner.
