2025 Hosts & theme:
Co-chaired by Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour — as well as honorary chair LeBron James — the 2025 Met Gala theme draws from the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Historical fashion references for the annual event are, of course, the exhibition titled, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” as well its inspiration, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” a 2009 book by professor and author Monica L. Miller. Per Vogue, the official dress code is ‘“Tailored for You,” a nod to the exhibition’s focus on menswear and suiting that’s sure to bring out the sartorial creativity of this year’s attendees.”

As stated by Vogue, invited stars will arrive at the Met around 4:30 p.m. today, before the official gala — the events of which are famously kept under wraps — begins. The red carpet starts at 6 p.m. ET, available across Vogue platforms.
Fans can stream “Live From E!: Met Gala 2025″ hosted by Zanna Roberts Rassi, Maria Taylor, Elaine Welteroth, Yvonne Orji, and Christian Siriano at 6 p.m. ET.
