Hilton is betting that its 235 million loyalty program members want to take their points to sea, in a tacit admission that room-night rewards alone cannot sustain engagement in a competitive market.
The hotel group said Monday that it has signed a deal with Explora Journeys, a luxury cruise brand owned by the MSC Group, that will allow members of the Hilton Honors rewards program to earn and redeem points on ocean voyages starting in summer 2026. The deal marks Hilton’s first foray into cruise partnerships.
