Many travelers use travel credit cards to access valuable benefits and improve their travel experience. Several Chase cards come with high-end travel perks including Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection benefits.

If you like to take advantage of all the amenities when staying at a luxury hotel or resort, this may be a perk you want to utilize. This program doesn’t offer savings on nightly hotel rates but provides complimentary extra amenities to upgrade your stay. Here’s how to maximize your Chase credit card benefits on your next vacation.

What is the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection?

The Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection features over 1,000 luxury hotels, resorts, lodges and spas. It features independent properties and properties at larger chains worldwide.

When you book a stay at one of the participating properties, you’ll get upgrades and perks included at no additional charge. For example, you may receive a room upgrade and resort credits. The exact perks depend on the individual property.

Some brands in the collection include Andaz Hotels, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

You must use a qualifying Chase credit card for payment. Unfortunately, if you redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards® points for a stay at a Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection property, you won’t receive the extra amenities and perks.

You can make a reservation directly with a Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection Travel Specialist or online at Lhrcollection.com. You can also make a reservation directly through the Chase Travel℠ portal.

Chase cards to get you access

Only select Chase-issued cards let you access the benefits provided by booking with the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection program. These are the credit cards that grant this perk:

Note: If you have another Chase card, like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

, you won’t be able to access the Luxury Hotel & Resort benefits. Review the specific details of your card to see what other benefits are provided.

Both the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the Sapphire Preferred offer robust travel benefits. Here’s a full list of the perks.

Benefits of the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection

The benefits offered through the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection program vary by property. Before making a hotel reservation review the property-specific perks so you know what to expect. You can also contact the property for more information.

Some examples of perks include the following:

    • Free welcome gift.
    • Complimentary daily breakfast for up to two guests.
    • Property credits (such as dining, spa or activity credits).
    • Greens fees.
    • Room upgrades.
    • Complimentary wifi.
    • Early check-in.
    • Late check-out.

It’s worth noting that some perks like room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may not be provided. While you won’t get a discount on the nightly hotel rate by booking a Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection property, the benefits offered through the program could have significant value or simply make your trip more enjoyable.

How to book your next stay with the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection

First, you’ll want to verify that you have an eligible Chase credit card. Then, make a reservation through a Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection Travel Specialist, the Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection website (Lhrcollection.com) or the Chase Travel portal and pay using your eligible card.

To book online, you’ll be prompted to verify the first few numbers of your credit card or asked to log in to your Chase account.

You must use your Chase credit card for payment to be eligible for the Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection benefits. You can’t pay for your stay using Chase Ultimate Rewards points if you want to utilize the program benefits.

    Should you book with Chase?

If you’re a luxury traveler, you may want to give the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection program a try.

The valuable amenities provided can help make your hotel stay more enjoyable and could help you save money on travel expenses. Plus, you’ll earn rewards since you’ll be using your Chase credit card to pay for your stay.

But before you book, you may want to review the nightly rates offered directly by the hotel. If direct pricing is cheaper, you’ll need to decide whether the additional amenities offered through the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection are worth the extra cost. In some situations, booking directly with a hotel, or simply using your points for a free or discounted stay may be the best financial move.

    Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

No, you can’t use Chase Ultimate Rewards points to pay for a Luxury Hotel & Resorts Collection hotel stay. You must pay with an eligible Chase credit card to get the additional amenities provided.

The Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection features over 1,000 luxury properties worldwide. Four Seasons, Fairmont and Andaz are some brands included in the collection. You can search for eligible properties at Lhrcollection.com or the Chase Travel portal.

You won’t earn elite status through the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection program. But you can access exclusive hotel perks that uplevel your stay. Some perks (when available), like room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, mimic elite status benefits offered through hotel loyalty programs.

While you won’t get a discount on the nightly hotel rate, the additional perks offered through the Chase Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection program could help you save money. For example, getting breakfast for two during your stay is a valuable perk that can save you money on food expenses.
