Another pair of celebrities might have gotten married without telling us. How rude.
Turns out 2026 is the year of the secret celebrity wedding: First, with Tom Holland and Zendaya, who just finally admitted they got married after a press tour’s worth of beating around the bush. Then, with the top-secret Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce nuptials. (Both of which we have yet to see any non-AI photo evidence). And now it would seem like the next A-listers to hop on the bandwagon are Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid.
On Monday, Cooper and Hadid were photographed many, many, many times while walking about Paris, where they did not attempt to hide the matching gold bands on both of their ring fingers (specifically, their left ring fingers). Page Six reports that the rings are Bouceron wedding bands, advertised on the site as a “declaration of love, but also of style.” So what are we to think now? That they didn’t get secretly married? The couple has been dating for about three years, although they only just went Insta official last year. But where else is there to go after going Insta official and bringing him as your plus-one to Taylor Swift’s wedding? Secret marriage is the only logical next step.
This hypothetical secret wedding would mark Hadid’s first marriage (she and Zayn Malik never tied the knot, although they do share a 5-year-old daughter) and Cooper’s second, after a brief one-year marriage to Jennifer Espesito in 2006. In March 2025, Hadid opened up about her private relationship with Cooper in Vogue, saying, “To find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I feel really lucky.”
“I respect him so much as a creative,” she added, “and I feel that he gives so much to me: encouragement and, just, belief.” Hope he’s better for her than Zayn.
But let’s get to the question that really matters: Why are secret celebrity weddings suddenly so chic? Like most things, Beyoncé does it first, and then everyone catches up a decade later. But perhaps now in our increasingly unavoidable surveillance state, a secret wedding is like the rich and famous’s way of microdosing a normal person’s life.
Taking bets on the next celebrity couple to elope, and I’m putting all my money on Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles.
