On November 13, Clint Godwin, the husband of celebrity medium Tyler Henry, announced on his Instagram that Henry had undergone a third successful surgery on his brain tumor. He mentioned Henry’s previous surgery in May, writing that “Over the past month, symptoms of swelling slowly returned.”
He went on to thank everyone who had sent their well-wishes to Tyler and their family.
If you happen to follow Henry on social media, you may not have noticed anything amiss with the Life After Death star. He was pretty open about his last surgery, even featuring a photo of himself smiling in his hospital bed afterwards. “Brain surgery was a success!” He captioned the photo. The psychic went on to explain that he’d “had a colloid tumor” removed from his brain, while also signalling that “not much” would change with his virtual readings while he recovered.
According to Mount Sinai Hospital, colloid tumors or cysts “are benign brain tumors that are usually located in the third ventricle,” in the center of the brain. Colloid cysts make up less than two percent of diagnosed brain tumors. While most patients have no symptoms, the most common complaint is headache. Colloid cysts are often discovered when a symptomatic person goes to the urgent care or ER complaining of a debilitating headache.
The 29-year-old took two weeks off to recover after his May surgery. In June, he posted an Instagram update with his neurosurgeon, declaring that he was “feeling so much better.”
Earlier this year, Henry explained to Harry Jowsey on his Boyfriend Material podcast how his gift came to light.
“When I was 10 years old, I had my first psychic experience where I basically knew my grandmother was going to die before she did,” Henry said. “And then that just kind of kicked it off, and these moments of intuition just continued to happen.”
Henry has given readings to thousands of people, including celebrities such as Khloé Kardashian, Sofia Vergara, and Alan Thicke. Some of them have been eerily accurate in their predictions.
In 2016, Thicke died after his aorta ruptured. Several months earlier, Tyler told Thicke he needed to talk about his heart and his blood pressure. “I have some people who came through and acknowledged passing similarly,” Henry said on Hollywood Medium. “It’s almost saying like, ‘Keep in mind your own heart.'”
