The Celebrity Inner Circle will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for a second series, with Amanda Holden continuing as host. The show will run for eight episodes, an increase from the first series which had six. The format follows pairs made up of a celebrity and a member of the public. They work together through quiz rounds and reach a final stage where they must decide whether to share the prize or attempt to take it alone.
It was confirmed by the BBC that the daytime edition of the show will be discontinued. A representative mentioned that there aren’t any plans for additional daytime episodes. Currently, the new series is being filmed and it is anticipated to be back in the Saturday evening time slot. The programme is a Tern production, a division of Zinc Media. It highlights the element of trust among players and the decisions taken at the final stage.
The structure of the show is unchanged, as players required to make choices based on information and interaction during the game. More information along with the broadcast times and celebrities featured is expected to be revealed shortly.

The Celebrity Inner Circle: Format and return details
The second series of The Celebrity Inner Circle will continue with the same structure as the first. Each episode features a contestant paired with a celebrity. Together, they answer questions and move through rounds to reach the final stage. At the end, two players must choose whether to split the prize or take it for themselves.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the update on scheduling and format: “Whilst no further episodes of The Inner Circle are currently planned for Daytime, audiences can look forward to a brand-new series of The Celebrity Inner Circle which is currently in production.” The new series will air in a primetime slot rather than daytime.
Host Amanda Holden also spoke about the return: “It’s a joy that The Celebrity Inner Circle returns to BBC primetime for a second series.” She added, “This is not just a quiz show, it’s a real mind game.”
The increase in episode count from six to eight reflects the continuation of the format. The focus remains on gameplay, decision-making, and interaction between contestants and celebrity partners across each episode.
