Ant Anstead is his girlfriend Renée Zellweger’s biggest cheerleader.
The “Wheeler Dealers” alum took to Instagram over the weekend to praise the actress for receiving a statue in London in honor of her legendary film character, Bridget Jones.
Reposting a video of the statue unveiling to his Instagram Stories, Anstead, 46, simply captioned it, “Iconic.”
This comes as a rare relationship update for the pair — who have been dating since 2021 — since they like to keep their relationship out of the spotlight and have not been photographed together publicly since early March.
The sweet gesture also comes after Zellweger, 56, made several solo appearances over the summer as she was working in NYC while her boyfriend was living at the home of a rich divorcee.
According to the Daily Mail, Anstead had been seen staying overnight at the Laguna Beach mansion of Julia “Jules” French, a 36-year-old cycling instructor who is reportedly divorcing her hedge fund founder husband, James Hanna III.
Despite how it looked, the TV host’s rep exclusively told Page Six, “Mr. Anstead is working mostly in the UK, and he has spent some of his limited time back in [Orange County] at his friend’s home.
“His friend Jules has a separate, detached guest house, and the suggestion that their relationship is anything other than platonic is unacceptable and untrue.”
“Mr. Anstead and Ms. Zellweger are still together,” the rep insisted.
According to the Daily Mail’s source, Anstead took residence there as he was dealing with financial woes and in the midst of “trying to find another rental place.”
While he was dealing with his money troubles, Zellweger was booked and busy filming Season 5 of “Only Murders in the Building.”
But a source close to the Oscar winner told the outlet that she is weary of having Anstead move in with her, even though they’ve been dating for four years.
The couple met on the set of “Celebrity IOU: Joyride” during the summer of 2021 and struck up a romance just days after Anstead finalized his divorce from Christina Haack.
Zellweger and Anstead were spotted packing on the PDA on several occasions until they finally went Instagram-official in August of that year.
Since then, Zellweger has bonded with Anstead’s three children: Amelia and Archie whom he shares with ex-wife Louise and son Hudson whom he shares with Haack.
