17 Times Celebrities Took Their Weddings And Engagements To A Whole New Level (Like, I’m Talking Millions Of Dollars And A Caviar Wall)

I’m the type of person who loves love. And when you’re a celebrity, you have the funds to reeeeeallly celebrate that love in style. So, with that in mind, here are some of the most expensive celebrity engagements and proposals:

1. After 10 years and six children (including one from a previous relationship and one who sadly passed away), Crisiano Ronaldo proposed to long-time girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez with a massive ring estimated to be around 35 carats and cost between $5-$10 million.

2. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos’s star studded Venetian wedding cost as much as $55 million! And that’s not even including the rings, dresses, or tux! This hefty bill included — but wasn’t limited to — renting out five luxury hotels, 90 private jets, 30 water taxis, and catering from a three Michelin star chef.

Pretty sure a prerequisite for being invited to this wedding was already having a net worth in the millions.

3. Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift with an 8-carat diamond ring estimated to cost between $800,000 and $1 million. So, it makes sense that the enormous flower display where it happened — or, at least, where they took the photos — cost $38,000.

4. Sofia Richie Grainge wore not one, not two, but THREE custom Chanel wedding dresses during her wedding weekend in the South of France. A single custom Chanel wedding dress can cost anywhere between $100,000-$250,000…so multiply that by three!

She did look stunning, though.

5. Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s customized Dolce & Gabbana wedding gown is estimated to have cost $500,000.

I would be remiss to not disclose that Dolce & Gabanna also sponsored Kourtney and Travis’s wedding…didn’t even know weddings could be sponsored, but maybe that ’cause it’s out of my tax bracket!

6. Carter Reum worked with jewelry designer Jean Dousset, the great-great grandson of Louis Cartier — yes THAT Cartier — on Paris Hilton’s $2 million engagement ring.

7. Kim Kardashian and Ye (fka Kanye West)’s extravagant wedding spared no expense and included a rehearsal dinner at Versailles and $100,000 worth of flowers at their reception.

If Kim ever does get married again, I’d be interested to see how she tops this one!

8. The biggest expense at Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding wasn’t the ring or the dress or the food or the flowers, but the security! The wedding cost around $45 million and $40 million of that was allocated to security measures.

Don’t fret, though. The UK taxpayers were in charge of covering that portion of the wedding. The Windsors covered the other $5 million.

9. Tom Holland proposed to Zendaya with a just-over-5-carat diamond that cost approximately $200,000.

Those Spidey residuals are coming in clutch!

10. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had a three-day wedding, which blended Western and Indian traditions and cost around $800,000.

11. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s exclusive Malibu wedding cost $1 million — which, adjusted for inflation, translates to approximately $2 million today. One reason for that hefty price tag? They had a WALL of caviar for their guests to enjoy.

Still haven’t forgiven Brad for cheating on Jen with Angelina Jolie…and I don’t think I ever will!

12. Serena Williams wore a custom Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress that cost $3.5 million when she married Alexis Ohanian Sr.

If that was the dress, how much was the wedding???

13. Billionaire James Packer proposed to Mariah Carey with one of the most expensive engagement rings to ever exist — the diamond was 35-carats and valued at $10 million.

Sad they never made it down the aisle, though. I would have loved to see pics from what was bound to be an extravagant wedding.

14. Jay-Z proposed to Beyoncé with an emerald cut diamond ring estimated to have cost $5 million.

Talk about putting a ring on it…

15. Orlando Bloom forwent a traditional diamond and opted to propose to Katy Perry with a flower-shaped ruby ring — but don’t let that fool you, it still cost $5 million.

16. Similar to Orlando Bloom, Ryan Reynolds also went the not-so-traditional route when he proposed to Blake Lively with a blush-colored diamond that cost around $2 million.
