17 Celebrities Who Have Been Married 5 Times Or More (Yes, Seriously)

Celebrity relationships may technically be none of our business, but TBH, we all love to stick our noses in things that don’t involve us. And I’m no exception.

So today, we’re gonna discuss CELEBRITY MARRIAGES. Specifically, those celebs that have gotten married so many times, it’s hard for us to even keep count. No shade, but many of us regular folk can’t even imagine getting divorced once, let alone multiple times — so it’s just pretty shocking to imagine, is all.

1. Pam Anderson has said she “love[s] traditional marriage,” and we can tell — because she’s been married five times. Her list of husbands begins with Tommy Lee, with whom she shares two kids, and Kid Rock. She also married Rick Salomon twice, but had the marriage annulled the first time.

There was also her 12-day marriage to Jon Peters, but Pamela later confirmed they actually never legally wed, so we won’t count it. Her final marriage was to Dan Hayhurst — they split in 2022 after two years together. Flash forward to today, and she’s openly embracing the single life. In a discussion with AnOther, she said, “There’s that great Osho quote — ‘The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love.’ That’s where I’m at right now.”

2. Larry King has been married eight times, to seven different women. Yes, you read that right. Beginning in 1952, his wives were: Freda Miller, his high-school sweetheart; Annette Kaye, with whom he shares a son; former Playboy Bunny Alene Akins, who he married twice; Mickey Sutphin, with whom he shares a daughter; former production assistant Sharon Lepore; businesswoman Julie Alexander; and Shawn Southwick, his longest marriage.

Larry King filed for divorce from Shawn Southwick in 2019, but it reportedly never actually went through before Larry died in 2021. They had two sons together, and Shawn said her last words to Larry while he was in the hospital were “I love you.”

3. I was surprised Nicholas Cage made the list, but here we are. He’s been married to five different women, starting with fellow actress Patricia Arquette in 1995, followed by Lisa Marie Presley; Alice Kim, who was his waitress; makeup artist Erika Koike; and finally, Riko Shibata.

Riko and Nick got married in 2021, and they’re still married today. They also have one child together, a daughter born in 2022. Nicholas has acknowledged his number of marriages, admitting, “I know five is a lot, but I think I got it right this time.”

4. Gary Oldman, who you might know as Sirius Black from Harry Potter or Jim Gordon from The Dark Knight, has been married five times as well. His first marriage was to Lesley Manville in 1987. Then, he married Uma Thurman, followed by photographer Donya Fiorentino, with whom he shares two kids.

Gary was married to singer Alexandra Edenborough from 2007 until 2015. And finally, two years after that, he married Gisele Schmidt, who is an art curator and writer. I guess fifth time was the charm for him, because the pair is still going strong.

5. A filmmaker known for Goodfellas and The Wolf of Wall Street among other titles, Martin Scorsese has been married five times. It started with his university sweetheart, Laraine Marie Brennan, with whom he shares one daughter, followed by journalist Julia Cameron — they also share one daughter.

But that’s not all — Martin married actress and model Isabella Rossellini, producer Barbara De Fina, and lastly, producer Helen Morris in 1999. And it’s another happily ever after, because Martin and Helen Morris are still together after 25 years of marriage.

6. You probably know Joan Collins from Dynasty, but you may not know she’s had five husbands. Her marriage was to actor Maxwell Reed; they tied the knot the day she turned 19; he was 33 at the time. Then, she married actor and director Anthony Newley, and they had two kids.

Her third marriage was to businessman Ron Kass, with whom she shares a daughter, and her fourth was to singer Peter Holm. Her fifth husband is actor Percy Gibson, who is 32 years younger than her. Joan is still married to Percy after 24 years.

7. I’d be foolish if I didn’t mention the most-iconic bride of all time, Elizabeth Taylor. She famously had eight marriages to seven men, all of which were highly publicized and scrutinized.

You probably know she got married to Richard Burton twice, but other than that, the list is as follows: Conrad Hilton Jr. (in 1950, when she was only 18), Michael Wilding, Mike Todd, Eddie Fisher, John Warner, and Larry Fortensky in 1991. Elizabeth passed away in 2011, and at the time, she was not married.

8. Actress Lana Turner, who rose to fame as an actress in the late 1930s, was married seven times. The list of her husbands begins with jazz clarinetist and bandleader Artie Shaw, followed by actor and restaurateur Joseph Stephen Crane.

Lana married wealthy investor Henry J. Topping; then, she wed actor Lex Barker, who was known for playing Tarzan. Her list of husbands concludes with British artist Fred May, Playboy Robert P. Eaton, and lastly, hypnotist and entertainer Ronald Pellar. Lana passed away in 1995, and she was not married at the time.

9. Five seems to be the magic number here, because David Foster was also married five times. He first married B.J. Cook in 1972; ten years later, he married Rebecca Dyer. His third wife was Linda Thompson, and then Yolanda Hadid, of course.

David and Yolanda divorced in 2017 after almost ten years of dating and four years of marriage; on the subject of their divorce, they cited “the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.” David married actress and singer Katharine McPhee in 2019, and they’re still together.

10. Actor Tony Curtis — who, yes, is Jamie Lee Curtis’ father, in case you didn’t know — got married for the first time in 1951, to Janet Leigh (Jamie’s mother). They got divorced in 1962.

Then, Tony married model Leslie Allen; actress and singer Andrea Savio; attorney Lisa Deutsch; and Jill VandeBerg, who is 45 years younger than him. Tony was married to Jill until he died in 2010; three years later, she reportedly remarried.

11. Hungarian actress Zsa Zsa Gabor is best known for starring in the 1953 version of Moulin Rouge. And she also got married nine times (well, technically eight). To begin, she married Turkish politician Burhan Belge in 1937, followed by Conrad Hilton (yes, *that* Hilton); actor George Sanders; and banker-slash-attorney Herbert L. Hutner.

The list continues with oil businessman Joshua S. Cosden Jr.; Jack Ryan, a toy designer who helped create the Barbie doll; divorce attorney Michael O’Hara; and Felipe de Alba — but that last one wasn’t actually valid because her divorce from Michael O’Hara wasn’t finalized yet. And her last marriage was to Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt in 1986. They were together for more than 25 years, until she died in 2016.

12. Clearly James Cameron loves a good romance, not just because he directed the one and only Titanic, but also because he’s been married five times. His first wife was Sharon Williams, whom he met before fame. Interestingly, she reportedly helped him work on The Terminator, which was his first major success. But it didn’t last.

His second was Gale Anne Hurd, whom he met while working on The Terminator, and then he married fellow filmmaker Kathryn Bigelow. His fourth wife, Linda Hamilton, was the protagonist of The Terminator series. After a rumoured affair, he married Suzy Amis Cameron in 2000, who had a small part in Titanic. Linda once called Suzy “the gargoyle on the end of my bed, waiting to swoop in.” James and Suzy are still together.

13. Embarrassingly, I only know George Foreman from his grill (thanks, Michael Scott), but he’s also a former pro boxer. Anyway, he was married five times, too. His list of wives begins with Adrienne Calhoun, who he married in 1971.

Then, in 1977, he married beauty queen Cynthia Lewis, followed by Sharon Goodson and Andrea Skeete. His final marriage was to Mary Joan Martelly in 1985, and they’re still together today!

14. Rue McClanahan was married six times! This Golden Girl wrote all about the first five — Tom Bish, Norman Hartweg, Peter DeMaio, Gus Fisher, and Tom Keel — in her book, My First Five Husbands…And the Ones Who Got Away.

In an interview around the book’s release, she said, “Writing about how I hurt Norman Hartweg, my second husband and subsequent life-long friend, was almost unbearable. I also learned to take time to think things over before rushing into a marriage.” Rue’s sixth and final husband was actor Morrow Wilson. She passed away in 2010, and at the time, she was still married to Morrow.

15. Bad Santa actor Billy Bob Thornton has been busy — he’s been married six times. His first marriage was to Melissa Lee Gatlin, and they share one daughter; his second was to Toni Lawrence, followed by Cynda Williams. Then, he married and had two kids with Pietra Dawn Cherniak.

Billy’s fifth — and perhaps most famous — wife was Angelina Jolie. They got divorced in 2003, which you may remember. And finally, his sixth wife is puppeteer and makeup artist Connie Angland; they’ve been married for 12 years now.

16. Ben Folds is an alternative singer-songwriter known for hits like “Brick” — and he’s also been married five times. His first wife was Anna Goodman, who he referred to as his “oldest friend.” Then, he married Kate Rosen, followed by Frally Hynes; they had a set of twins together.

Ben married his fourth wife, Fleur Stanbrook, only a year after his divorce to Frally. He was married to his fifth wife, dancer Emma Sandall, for six years before they filed for divorce in 2023.

17. Speaking of musicians, you might know Gregg Allman as one of Cher’s two husbands, or perhaps you’ve heard songs by the Allman Brothers Band. However, you may not be aware that he was actually married seven times, Cher being his third — they were married from 1975 until 1979.

In addition to Cher, Gregg also married to Danielle Galliano and Julie Bindas, among others. His seventh wife, Shannon, was 40 years younger than him. After he died in 2017, not long after they got married, she admitted it was “deeply painful” to be labelled a “gold digger” by the public.
