Zendaya and Tom Holland may have secretly tied the knot (according to her stylist Law Roach), but they’ll hardly be the first power couple to have their nuptials fly completely under the radar.
While some celebrities opt to throw extravaganzas for their special days — see Paris Hilton and Carter Reum, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez or Nick and Priyanka Chopra Jonas — other equally A-list couples have gone the opposite direction, opting for weddings so intimate fans don’t hear about it until months later.

Tom Holland and Zendaya’s engagement caused major waves — they’re one of Hollywood’s favorite couples — and people were waiting anxiously to see what she’d wear down the aisle. So when Law Roach, her long-term stylist and friend, told Access Hollywood that the pair had already tied the knot, the internet went berserk.
Roach was walking the Actor Awards red carpet on March 1, when he was asked how the engaged couple was going about pulling looks for their nuptials. “The wedding has already happened,” he replied, teasing. “You missed it.”
The reporter then followed up with, “Is that true?” to which he responded, “It’s very true!” with a laugh.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were at the peak of their powers when they pulled off their April 2008 nuptials. To keep things private, the two tied the knot in their own home, transforming Jay-Z’s 13,500-square-foot penthouse in TriBeCa into their wedding venue.
“It was very private, and I can say outside, there was paparazzi, and it was madness, and inside it was really beautiful, but once again, I’m saying way too much,” the tight-lipped singer told Oprah.

Sparks flew between Dave Franco and wife Allison Brie when they first met back in New Orleans in 2011, but they kept things low-key for a while, getting engaged in 2015 before getting married in an intimate ceremony in 2017.
“Something about being married made me feel so settled, almost more free, I guess, rather than like trapped,” Brie told PEOPLE in November 2017. “It’s great. So now, let’s go do whatever we want. Onward and upward.”

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons snuck away and quietly got married in early July 2022 at the GoldenEye luxury resort near Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The two had been together for six years and had already welcomed their two kids.
“It’s funny. I wasn’t sure how different [marriage] was gonna feel because we’ve been together for a while and, two kids later, it’s pretty solid, you know?” Plemons told Entertainment Tonight in 2023. “But there was something really nice about [a wedding] and actually setting aside time to celebrate it, and it does feel different, in a good way.”

Kerry Washington was at the height of her Scandal fame when she snuck away to Idaho and married her now-husband of 13 years, former football player-turned-producer-and-actor Nnamdi Asomugha.
“Everything was held at one of Kerry’s friend’s houses,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They flew a few people out on this little private plane. The house was beautiful.”

By the time Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost welcomed their first child together, Cosmo, in 2021, the couple were pros at keeping things under lock and key. The two were engaged in 2019, and wed the following year in an intimate ceremony amid the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping it small with close friends and family. The announcement was made by Meals on Wheels America, which the couple selected to draw awareness and drive donations to the organization.
“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC,” the announcement read in part.

Nicole Brydon Bloom had just wrapped her role as the calculating and sinister Jane Driscoll on Paradise season 1, when TMZ revealed she had wed fiancé Justin Theroux in March 2025.
Their laid-back Mexican beach wedding would later be covered in Vogue, were they opened up about all the meaningful moments that occurred during their special day.
“All I’ll say is, it was wonderful,” Theroux told the outlet. “Ceremonies with vows are about the words contained within them. And they are better left un-described here. That being said, the officiant said some wonderful things, and my wife was just…well, incredibly touching. I was very moved.”
The pair are expecting their first child together.
