Celebrity relationships are frequently under the microscope and subject to lots of speculation, which can add to the pressure.

The year 2025 was a big one for celebrity splits and shake-ups, with some of our favorite couples parting ways for good. Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler ended their three-year relationship. Tate McRae and the Kid LAROI’s split may have led to some musical inspiration for both parties, and Academy Award-winning superstar Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban split after 19 years.

Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber

Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler and model-actor Kaia Gerber were first linked in 2021 and dated until late 2024, though their split wasn’t made public until early 2025. Throughout their time together, they posed on the red carpet as a couple, made their Met Gala debut, and jetted around the world. Since their split, Gerber has been linked to SNL star Marcello Hernandez and actor Lewis Pullman, and Butler has been linked to model Emily Ratajkowski, though he said they’re just friends.

Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini

The Outer Banks star and country musician began dating in 2023 and even got matching tattoos during their relationship. However, they split in September 2025, then briefly appeared to have reconciled. In late November, Stokes took to social media with a cryptic post about being “blocked,” and People reported that the two were no longer following each other on Instagram.

Tate McRae and the Kid LAROI

Musicians Tate McRae and the Kid LAROI were first linked in 2024 and attended the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party as a couple in 2025, plus a trip to Coachella and a romantic excursion a deux in Paris. While they stepped out for high-profile occasions, they were homebodies. “Sometimes it’s nice to go out and do stuff like that, but most times, we’ll just be like, ‘Yo, should we go out for dinner? Let’s just order something. Let’s make something. Let’s watch something,'” the Kid LAROI said of their relationship. JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez

Love Island season six stars JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez, who met on the show and finished in third place, split in in late July 2025. Craig confirmed the split on social media, writing, “As you know, Kenny and I are no longer together. Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is. Discovering that someone you loved isn’t who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn’t been genuine since day one has been truly devastating. Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know [that] as a child of God, I will always be okay.” About a month later, she told People, “I don’t want to waste my breath on him, if I’m being so honest. I thought it was a good relationship. But it wasn’t, and that’s fine.”

JoJo Siwa and Kath Ebbs

Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa split from her partner, Kath Ebbs, after Siwa appeared on Big Brother UK; at the time, Ebbs claimed Siwa broke up with them at the afterparty, which Siwa later confirmed. “I’ll be honest, that was not a plan. That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that,” Siwa told E! “Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they didn’t want to attend and then about an hour into the wrap party they decided they wanted to. Benito Skinner and Terrence O’Connor

Overcompensating star Benito Skinner and his boyfriend of nine years, Terrence O’Connor, broke up in fall 2025. Skinner announced their amicable split on his podcast Ride, saying, “We both just love each other so much and have so much love and respect for each other, and we treated each other with love and respect until the end,” he shared. “I hope that if anything, you should believe in love, because I really had it and I really feel so lucky to have met him and to have been around his genius.”

Ashley Park and Paul Forman

Emily in Paris star Ashley Park and her costar and boyfriend, Paul Forman, split after two years of dating in fall 2025. The two met on the show, where they played former classmates turned lovers.

Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom

Another big split was that of pop star Katy Perry and Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, who called it quits.
