Given the lifestyle and earnings of modern-day NBA players, it’s no surprise that when people hear about their million-dollar purchases, they are instantly impressed. However, for someone like IShowSpeed, who is at the top of the streaming world with 44.5 million subscribers and casually spends days with some of the greatest talents, such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown, luxury often seems ordinary.
But even the 20-year-old streamer was left speechless when he got an up-close and personal opportunity to look at the rare sneaker collection of Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker.

Having already earned more than $200 million in salaries and bonuses alone so far in his decade-long NBA career, Booker definitely enjoys some perks of his superstardom. One of those perks includes getting his hands on such rare sneakers that no one else in the world has even seen. Thus, when IShowSpeed saw the sheer variety of shoes stored in the massive warehouse-like setup, he couldn’t hide his shock.
Put simply, the sheer volume of sneakers and the manner in which they were arranged left Speed in total shock.
“Bro, I thought this was Foot Locker,” Speed’s first reaction after entering Booker’s warehouse. “Goddamn! This is crazy, though. Chat, look at this crazy warehouse, how do you even get these much shoes, bro? These are all yours? 270 shoes! Oh My God! Wow!
Interestingly, though, it wasn’t just the sneakers that impressed Speed the most. Another one of D-Book’s most prized passions – vintage cars – made an even better impression. With gems like a 1959 Chevrolet Impala, a 1987 Buick Grand National, a 1970 Chevy K5 Blazer and a 1996 Impala SS stored in Booker’s collection, Speed’s amazement was doubled. Simply because such rare cars, and that, too, in such good condition, are rarely spotted even on roads.
“You’ve got to show me around. You gotta collection here, man. These cars are crazy, though,” Speed continued with a smile bigger than his face. “This is a damn collection right here.”
The life of an NBA superstar is hard to maintain
Of course, none of this is shocking when you consider the financial reality of today’s NBA. With contracts worth hundreds of millions and endorsement deals adding even more stars, like Booker, who can essentially buy whatever they want. Nevertheless, what separates him from many others is that his lifestyle has never distracted him from his greater purpose.
Despite living in a mansion with a warehouse full of sneakers and a garage packed with the rarest vintage cars, Booker stays grounded. The four-time All-Star’s focus remains on leading the Suns toward the kind of success their fanbase has been longing for.
Perhaps it is safe to state that this was why the contrast between Speed’s wide-eyed amazement and Booker’s calm composure was so striking. While for IShowSpeed, this was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, for Booker, it was just another day in his life, because in his mind, the real reward isn’t his sneakers or cars.
