Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are said to have been making some significant progress on their wedding plans—with the latest reports suggesting that they have not only set a date for the big day, but have also landed on an incredibly iconic venue for their nuptials.
Rumors first began circulating on social media that Swift and Kelce, both 35, had not only solidified their plans, but that they had forked out a very hefty sum to secure their chosen date—by paying the couple who had already booked their chosen venue to move their ceremony.
“An East Coast woman was planning on getting married somewhere this coming summer, right?” podcast host Fiona Shea recounted in a recent video. “She was reached out to by the establishment where she’s having her wedding and they said, ‘Hey, would you be willing to actually change the date of your wedding?’
“She said, ‘F–k no.’ And they said, ‘This client is willing to pay for your wedding and honeymoon if you change the date of your wedding, because she needs this.’ And this is allegedly Taylor Swift.”
The date in question? June 13, 2026—a day that would likely hold particular significance for Swift, who was born on Dec. 13 and always considered the date her lucky number.
Meanwhile, the rumored venue, the iconic Breakers mansion in Newport, RI, also holds sentimental value for the pop star who owns her own historic Rhode Island abode, which she has long used as a sanctuary when she needs to escape the furious scrutiny brought on by her global fame.
Indeed, the property holds such a special place in her heart that it was quickly assumed she and Kelce would tie the knot in close proximity to the Watch Hill home, if not at the dwelling itself.

Instead, as first reported by the Daily Mail, focus has now turned to the Gilded Age estate that is located about an hour away from Swift’s private Rhode Island residence and that has long been regarded as one of the most spectacular estates on the East Coast.
The extravagant abode features soaring 50-foot ceilings, Italian-style gardens, and Baccarat crystal chandeliers so heavy they had to be hung from steel beams. And that’s just the start of the lavish wonders within the historic dwelling.
The 70-room mansion dates back to 1895, when it was built for business magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt II, who was one of the most prominent members of high society during that era.
The home features the finest American and European craftsmanship, views of the sea, and modern technology, all combined to create the ideal setting for “luxurious living and entertaining.”
The mansion was built in the two-year span from 1893 to 1895 to replace a smaller, wooden house that had been destroyed by a devastating fire.
According to reports, the incredible task of building the property, which was used as a summer retreat by Vanderbilt and his family, cost the businessman a staggering $7 million—a sum that equates to more than $263 million today.
However, recent estimates have placed the home’s value at closer to $400 million.
Meanwhile, the home’s opulent furnishings and perfectly preserved artwork are estimated to be worth $78 million—while the 10 acres on which it sits have been given the same generous price tag, bringing the total value of the estate to around $500 million.
Inside, visitors first enter The Great Hall and can gaze up at a ceiling handpainted with peaceful skies. From the center, the room measures 50 feet in every direction. Carvings, real gold, and a handmade “Flower of Life” motif (designed to represent a spiritual awakening) are found throughout the home in ceilings, railings, and doors.

Many grand balls were held in the Hall, where the Vanderbilts also displayed their family crest, three acorns symbolizing strength and prosperity.
A billiard room features wall-to-wall imported tiles all designed and hand-set by European artisans. Nearby, a music room inspired by the Paris Opera House was professionally constructed in France, then disassembled and shipped to the United States for reassembly inside the mansion.
A massive library features Cirian walnut and Spanish leather walls and houses a 500-year-old fireplace imported from a French chateau.
Down to the studs, the home uses the finest materials sourced from around the world, including gas and electric Baccarat crystal chandeliers that hang from steel beams in the dining room and platinum-leaf foil that lines the walls of a “morning room.”
The bathrooms each feature four faucets, which flow both hot and cold fresh water—plus saltwater pumped directly from the Atlantic Ocean outside.
The mansion has 70 rooms and 48 bedrooms, including staff quarters with 33 bedrooms. It also features 27 working fireplaces and a butler’s kitchen designed just to hold the family’s collected china and crystal.
Although reports claim that the couple will indeed seal their relationship at the Breakers mansion, others believe that Swift and Kelce will actually be saying “I do” at the Ocean House Hotel, which is just steps away from the pop star’s sprawling $17.75 million Rhode Island retreat.
Preservation Society of Newport County spokesperson Gary Ruff has also vehemently denied speculation that Swift and Kelce have chosen The Breakers as their venue, saying in a statement: “Taylor Swift is not getting married at The Breakers, or any other property the society runs.”
It was previously revealed that the couple was in a “hurry” to tie the knot and have children.
“They are getting married next summer in Rhode Island. She is in a hurry to have children,” a source previously told Page Six.

The summertime holiday has become synonymous with Swift’s iconic celebrity gatherings at her abode in Rhode Island, where guests have included Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne.
Beginning in 2013, the year that she purchased her Watch Hill dwelling for $17.75 million, Swift has gathered some of her nearest and dearest at the property to mark the patriotic holiday in true celebrity style.
Though she has taken a few years off from her hosting duties—namely when she dated British actor Joe Alwyn from 2017 until 2023—the singer’s parties have become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about A-list gatherings.
The residence—which is located in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House”—currently sprawls across 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
However, it was revealed at the start of the year that Swift was carrying out some extensive renovations that will see the property outfitted with an additional bedroom, while one of the existing rooms will be turned into an “enlarged bedroom suite,” according to the planning application.
In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.

And, Swift even admitted that tying the knot didn’t cross her mind before she met Kelce, confessing in her hit “Eldest Daughter” that she “didn’t believe in marriage.”
Hours after they revealed their engagement, Kelce’s father, Ed, confessed that the couple had been engaged for “two weeks” but had been keeping it a secret, before revealing that Kelce had to assure an “antsy” Swift that the proposal was going to happen soon.
According to TMZ, Swift and Kelce are spending all of their free time with each other, but have not moved in together, and buying a new marital home is not a priority for them.
