Acklam Cars, based on Acklam Road in Middlesbrough, has become a magnet for celebrities, sports personalities and even Hollywood royalty.
The dealership has quickly established a reputation as the go-to destination for celebrity clients seeking high-performance supercars and luxury SUVs.
Earlier this year, Emmy-winning actor Kelsey Grammer, best known as Frasier Crane in Cheers and Frasier, was spotted supercar shopping at the showroom.
Staff described the 70-year-old star as “down to earth,” and said he was thrilled by the line-up of prestige cars.
Grammer’s visit was no coincidence either – his wife, Kayte Walsh, hails from Hartlepool, and the actor often spends time in the region.
But perhaps Acklam Cars’ most high-profile and loyal customer is Tyson Fury, who makes regular trips from his Greater Manchester home to Teesside to check out the dealership’s latest arrivals.
Staff say they are always delighted to see the self-styled “Gypsy King,” who has bought multiple vehicles from them over the years.
Now, England rugby superstar Marcus Smith was spotted joining the whole host of A-list names at the garage.
Acklam Cars posted on social media: “Rugby Superstar, Great Customer and Special Friend Marcus Smith collecting his new car from our Head of Sales, Liam.
“Always a pleasure having you, and we hope you enjoy your new car.”
The post quickly drew attention from fans, highlighting how the showroom has carved out a unique status as a celebrity-friendly dealership.
