Nearly 20 years before Pink and Carey Hart were rumored to have split for the second time — which the pop star publicly denied — the couple was plagued with infidelity rumors just before their 2008 breakup.
In August 2007, the retired motocross champion, now 50, was caught getting up close and personal with a mystery blond woman while the pop star was away on tour, per Digital Spy.
At the time, Hart shut down the rumors, telling the Las Vegas Review-Journal that they were “just a bunch of trash talk.”
“It’s a nasty rumor. Everything’s fine,” he continued.
Still, the couple’s marital troubles continued to make headlines as Pink, 46, announced in February 2008 that she and Hart had separated.
“This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another,” a rep for the Grammy winner said at the time.
“While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger,” they added.
The breakup was said to have inspired some of her hit ballads “So What” and “Please Don’t Leave Me,” both of which were featured on her 2008 album, “Funhouse.”
But, just when all hope seemed lost for the couple, Pink and Hart reconciled in early 2009 after they attending couples counseling sessions.
In 2024, Pink candidly revealed that she and Hart had almost called it quits yet again in her Instagram post marking their 22nd anniversary.
“Love is a lifetime of coming back to the table. We almost didn’t make it to this one, well a couple of them, if I’m being honest,” she captioned her series of photos of her and Hart.
The couple was rumored to have split for the second time on Thursday, Feb. 26, after 20 years of marriage.

The “Just Give Me a Reason” hitmaker first started dating Hart in 2001 after they met at the Summer X Games in Philadelphia.
Four years later, Hart proposed in 2005. In January 2006, the pair tied the knot in Costa Rica in January 2006.
Pink and Hart are parents to two kids: daughter Willow Sage, 14, and son Jameson Moon, 8.
