Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are more than ready to plan a magical wedding after announcing their engagement.
“They threw a small private party with their closest friends and family, and they told people they are engaged and going to get married,” a source exclusively shared with Us Weekly. “And there will be a wedding.”
“They have wanted to be very private about it,” added the source.
According to the insider, the bride- and groom-to-be’s big day would be a “small and intimate” celebration with no more than 100 people.

Although a wedding date has yet to be revealed, both Robach, 52, and Holmes, 48, are aiming for 2026, and there are talks about making the ceremony a destination event.
“It would be more about sharing their vows and love,” the source explained. “And they do plan on inviting their exes.” (Us has reached out to Robach and Holmes’ reps for comment.)
News broke of the former GMA3 cohosts’ relationship in late 2022, while Robach and Holmes were married to Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, respectively.
In a surprise twist few saw coming, a source later confirmed to Us that Shue and Fiebig were also dating. In February, the pair took a big step in their relationship by moving in together.

“They are very much in love,” the insider explained at the time. “It’s not revenge. It’s real.”
Holmes and Robach’s excitement about the future is also authentic. Before getting engaged, the pair were able to build a modern, blended family with their kids from previous relationships.
Robach shares daughters Ava and Annalise with her first husband, Tim McIntosh. Meanwhile, Holmes shares Brianna and Jaiden with his first wife, Amy Ferson, and daughter Sabine with Fiebig.
“Their kids are happy and are supportive,” the source told Us of the kids’ reaction to their parents’ engagement. “[T.J. and Amy] want to spend their lives together and see themselves as each others’ forever. They are taking marriage seriously and want to say their vows in front of their friends and family.”

While Robach previously sported a promise ring at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, she confirmed on the Tuesday, October 14, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Amy and T.J.” podcast that her engagement happened one month ago.
A source added that Holmes is hard at work making his future wife a custom wedding ring.
Back in June, a source exclusively shared with Us that an engagement is “coming” and has “been in the works for awhile.” The insider also predicted that an announcement would come on the couple’s podcast “when the time is right.”
As for why the couple chose to wait before announcing their news to the world, Holmes explained that they wanted just a few people to know about their impending nuptials for a short period of time.
“We might share some more details about how it all went down and all that, but we’ve just been celebrating with family really for the past month or so,” Holmes shared. “We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to. We’ve learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship.”
Robach added, “We did involve our family and some close friends. We have been telling people who are in an extremely small circle the details, and very few people actually know what happened.”
One compliment Robach has enjoyed hearing from family and friends is how joyful she appears to be in this new chapter of her life.
“I just want to say I’m so happy, and I think that was the coolest thing that my parents said that they heard from other people,” she recalled. “They might not have noticed the ring, but they noticed the joy, and that was really cool to hear that.”
