Autumn is upon us and the colder weather is drawing in, which only means one thing – I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! season is upon us.
With the show typically debuting in November, the ITV reality show’s next series is not far off, and as such the rumour mill is currently in overdrive.
While many names have been bandied about, Digital Spy is on hand to sort the wheat from the chaff in terms of who could actually be heading into the jungle.
What to Read Next
Of course, we must stress that none of these names have been announced as they’re just rumours at present.
Kelly Brook
The Sun on Sunday is reporting that Kelly has been approached with “a big money deal” to appear in the jungle, despite her having vocally denied having any interest in previous years.
“I can just think of a million things I’d rather do,” she told Heart FM in 2018. “I’d rather go and work in my local pub. I don’t think I could, I really don’t, because I hate confined spaces. I don’t want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles and all the things they have to eat on there. Even if I had a huge tax bill and I had to pay it really urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.”
Likelihood of appearing: 2-1. The Sun‘s source seems confident, but Kelly was really adamant about not doing it back in the day.
Vogue Williams
Another prediction by The Sun, who are confidently saying the Irish model has been signed up for his series.
It’s a logical signing if so – Vogue’s husband Spencer Matthews was previously a contestant on the show in 2015, but was removed after three days because of his use of steroids. (Matthews claims the show knew he was using them but withdrew him when they realised they were illegal in Australia.)
Williams has previously won Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, so she would presumably have the resilience – and possibly the skills – needed to survive the jungle.
Shona McGarty
Famous for playing Whitney Dean in EastEnders, Shona departed from the iconic role last year, and is among the names heavily rumoured to be on this year’s I’m a Celebrity line-up.
The star explained upon her exit from the BBC soap that she wanted to “pursue things that are in [her] heart”, such as her love of singing – and has been busy in the studio since.
However, The Sun reported back in May that Shona was in advanced talks to enter the jungle later in the year, meaning that fans could potentially be seeing her back on TV screens very soon.
Likelihood of appearing: 6/4 – there’s a good chance ITV have stumped up the necessary cash for an EastEnders star, as it feels like poaching audiences from the BBC, whether that’s the reality or not.
Lisa Riley
Another big soap name, Lisa Riley could be swapping the Dales for Down Under later this year. The star is of course no stranger to reality TV, having appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012.
The Mandy Dingle actor has previously admitted that she’s turned down I’m a Celebrity multiple times before, telling the Daily Star in 2023 that they ask her “every year”.
“They dangle that big carrot every year. I’ve always said ‘no’,” she added, though could this be the year she says yes? Possibly, as The Sun has reported that Lisa is in advanced negotiations to appear on the show in 2025.
The Emmerdale star has suggested that “maybe if there was a milestone” such as her turning 50, she would consider signing-up – and given that she turns that age next year, has she changed her mind?
Likelihood of appearing: 6/4 – another strong contender – she’s a very popular character in real life and has hovered on the fence before.
Jools Oliver
While Jamie Oliver is yet to go on the show, he has suggested that his wife Jools could be interested in taking part.
The TV chef previously added fuel to the rumours during a livestream with Ant and Dec, where the presenters shared a video from Jamie.
“Thanks for the offer, boys. I would love to come on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, I think it’s an amazing show,” he said, before admitting they “couldn’t give me enough olive oil in the world” to take part.
However, he then teased: “But what I can give you is my wife Jools. She would love to be on the show. Go on, Jools!”, before Dec quipped: “He just wants three weeks’ peace and quiet!”
There are no further rumours about Jools signing on at present, so we only have her husband’s words to go on for the moment. However, her doing it would no doubt be an interesting booking for the show, as many would be keen to see her dish on the Oliver family’s life.
Likelihood of appearing: 6/1 – We think this was just a throwaway gag on Jamie’s part, but someone somewhere at ITV will have been paying attention, you can be sure of that.
Tommy Fury
The reality star and boxer was heavily rumoured for last year’s series of I’m a Celebrity, though reportedly turned it down for a boxing fight.
While nothing of substance has emerged regarding his possible participation in 2025, Tommy Fury has expressed an interest in taking part in the past.
“I’m a Celeb is an amazing show and it’s something I want to do in the future but at the end of the day I am what I am, I’m a fighter and I’ve been doing it since I was a kid,” he told Mirror Fighting last year.
The star is certainly in the media spotlight at the moment, notably with his BBC series Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury, so booking him would no doubt be a coup for the ITV show.
Likelihood of appearing: 3/1 – Tommy’s clearly keen to do it and he’d be a great signing, so we imagine the sticking point is the fee. Will ITV match his demands?
I’m a Celebrity… airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
