And of course, each wedding was as unique as the couples themselves. Some went all out with an overseas blowout, while others kept things low-key, surrounded by just immediate family at a favorite local place.

This highly anticipated wedding was kept surprisingly secretive until after the big day occurred. Following their year-end engagement in 2024, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco married in a star-studded California ceremony on Sept. 27, attended by the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Steve Martin, Martin Short and more.

Gomez announced the news with a dreamy carousel of photos on Instagram, and the pair shared further glimpses at the event in the following weeks, including the actress’s three Ralph Lauren dresses, as well as Sheeran and Swift’s reception speeches.

“It’s been just a dream so far,” the Only Murders in the Building star said of married life in an Apple Music interview. “And I know it’ll come with ebbs and flows, but [he’s] the most beautiful person I could do that with.”

Kim Cattrall and Russell Thomas

Nine years after they first crossed paths, Kim Cattrall and Russell Thomas exchanged vows at London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall on Dec. 4 in a small ceremony of 12 guests. The Sex and the City alum and the audio engineer first met at the BBC, when Cattrall appeared on an episode of Women’s Hour.

The two kept in touch, and eventually, Thomas flew to visit the actress in Vancouver.

“It was very brave of him because we didn’t really know each other other than having a few meals together. But he came and we got along great,” Cattrall told PEOPLE in 2020. “And we’ve been together ever since!”

Carly Rae Jepsen and Cole Marsden Greif-Neill

There was a lot of Emotion when Carly Rae Jepsen tied the knot with her partner, music producer Cole M.G.N. (whose real name is Cole Marsden Greif-Neill). The intimate ceremony of 100 guests took place on Oct. 4 in the Chelsea Hotel’s Bard Room — which Jepsen told Vogue they chose for its “iconic history and lore.” (And they had more happy news ahead: In November, the two announced they were expecting!)

The pop singer began dating the producer after they worked together on songs that would later be part of her 2023 album The Loveliest Time. She revealed their engagement on Instagram in September 2024 with photos of her sparkler and the caption, “Very engaged over here.”

Natasha Bure and Bradley Steven Perry

Candace Cameron Bure‘s daughter Natasha and former Disney actor Bradley Steven Perry married in a “romantic garden celebration” with 150 guests at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California, on Sept. 14.

“It’s almost impossible to put into words what our wedding truly feels like. It’s surreal and overwhelming in all the best ways. There is nothing better than marrying your best friend,” the couple exclusively told PEOPLE in a statement.

Although the pair publicly confirmed their romance on social media last year, they kept their April engagement a secret. For the ceremony, Natasha and Perry made sure their loved ones were closely involved: Mom Candace served as the bride’s “something blue,” while Perry’s best friend and former costar Jake Short was the best man.

Charli xcx and her partner, The 1975‘s George Daniel, had two celebrations to commemorate their union. The first, held in London on July 19, was more low-key and saw the couple say “I do” in a small group of loved ones. On Sept. 19, they invited their celebrity friends — including Troye Sivan, 1975 frontman Matty Healy and Julia Fox — to watch them exchange vows in Sicily.

They first made their romance Instagram official in May 2022, shortly after they worked together on the pop star’s Crash album. She seemingly announced their engagement in November 2023 with a since-deleted photo of her ring and the caption, “Charli xcx and george daniel f—— for life!!!”

After being engaged for four years, Eric Stonestreet married pediatric nurse Lindsay Schweitzer in a romantic ceremony at their home in Kansas City, Mo., which they built with their eventual wedding in mind.

“We got engaged and then all of a sudden got an opportunity to build a house, and I thought, no better way to start a relationship than literally building a foundation,” he explained to PEOPLE.

The pair chose Sept. 8 for the date, as it fell between their birthdays.

“It’s my birthday and guess what I got,” the Modern Family alum captioned the wedding photos, which they shared the day after the festivities.

The two have been together since 2017, when they met at the Big Slick charity weekend in Kansas City. After four years of dating, Stonestreet popped the question in August 2021.

It’s been a major year for Patrick Schwarzenegger professionally and personally. On top of his breakout role in The White Lotus season 3, the actor married his longtime love, Abby Champion, in a lakeside wedding on Sept. 6 at Idaho’s Lake Coeur d’Alene.

The on-screen couple to real-life couple pipeline remains strong as Téa Leoni wed her Madam Secretary costar Tim Daly in an intimate ceremony held in New York on July 12.

The two first met in 2014 on the set of the CBS series, in which they played husband and wife Elizabeth and Henry McCord. In December 2014, PEOPLE confirmed that the pair had been quietly dating since the summer of that year.

Their wedding was small and attended only by immediate family, the actress’ rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
