The “Believe” singer has been in a relationship with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards for about three years. The pair were first linked together after being spotted while holding hands in November 2022.

“Before I met him, I walked around my house saying, ‘I want a man and a toddler,'” the 79-year-old joked during an episode of Armchair Expert. Her wishes came true, as the star’s 39-year-old boyfriend has a six-year-old son named Slash, whom he shares with Amber Rose.

“I wasn’t expecting them maybe together but that’s what I wanted,” Cher added of Edwards.

Responding to how some people have commented about their 40-year-age difference, Cher told CBS Mornings, “Whatever. They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast.”

Madonna and Akeem Morris

Another musical icon, Madonna, has always been known for breaking the rules, so it only makes sense that her love life doesn’t follow convention.

The Queen of Pop, 66, has been linked to 29-year-old Jamaican-born soccer player Akeem Morris since August 2022, when he was a part of the Paper Magazine‘s shoot for which she was a cover star.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

For Gabrielle Union, the nine-year age gap between herself and husband Dwyane Wade wasn’t the only thing keeping her from moving forward with their relationship when they first crossed paths at a Super Bowl party they were both hosting in 2007.

“When I met Dwyane, his résumé looked like crap: athlete, going through a divorce, nine years younger than me. None of that screamed, ‘Let’s have a lasting relationship,'” she told Glamour. However, a heart-crushing breakup made her think twice. “I thought, it can’t be any worse if I date a fetus,” she joked.

The pair began dating in 2009 and wed in 2014.

Tilda Swinton has been linked to long-term partner, artist Sandro Kopp, since 2004. Among the very few details known about their relationship is the fact that Kopp is that he is 18 years her junior. Though the two are very private about their relationship (Swinton once shared that it’s a “happy” one), Kopp did share with New Zealand’s The Post that he paints her often: “You can never run out of ways to paint someone. “I used to say to Corey all the time when I first started dating him, like why do you want to date somebody who is older than you?” she recalled of their 25-year age gap, during an episode of The Kardashians . “I didn’t get the age gap, and then he taught me that age is just a number. It’s a f—ing big number, but it’s a number!”

She added: “Listen, I can’t explain someone’s chemistry or why people fall in love but it’s been an amazing almost 10 years, and we have a great time.”

They say when you know, you know and that seems to have been the case for Venus Williams and her husband, Andrea Preti.

The couple first met at a Gucci show in Paris back in 2024, according to Today, and were rumored to be engaged by February 2025. She confirmed the news in a post-match interview that summer.

“My fiancé is here and he really encouraged me to keep playing,” she said of her return to competition at age 45, the oldest singles player in competition since 1981. “He encouraged me to get through this, and it’s wonderful to be here. He’s never seen me play.”

The 45-year-old tennis star and the 37-year-old producer and actor recently got married in two ceremonies, one held in Italy, the other in Florida.

Another newlywed couple, Kim Cattrall and Russell Thomas, have been together since 2016, after they met at the BBC, where she was making an appearance.

The pair recently said, “I Do” on Dec. 4, 2025, in an intimate wedding with just 12 guests, held at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.

“I’m very comfortable around him,” Cattrall told PEOPLE of Thomas, 16 years her junior. “He’s a firecracker and he’s got a wicked sense of humor. And he’s easy on the eyes!”

For Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, the decade between her and husband Nick is inconsequential. “I mean, I don’t think about it,” she previously told Hoda Kotb. “I think people think about it a lot more than I do.”
