Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson are not returning to HGTV with their series, Married to Real Estate, but they still had a big reason to celebrate recently.
On November 18, Sherrod took to Instagram to gush over her latest achievements. She began, “Still on cloud nine!”

Sherrod explained, “Last week, I was incredibly honored to be named Realtor of the Year by Modern Luxury Magazine.” She added, “On the very same night, Indigo Road Design took home the Design 9 Award for Best Living Room.”
On November 14, Modern Luxuryfeatured the modern luxury living room created by Sherrod’s Indigo Road. She told them she wanted to “evoke the timeless undertone of Italy” in her design. So, they brought in someone to create “hand-plaster architectural columns” to bring “artisanal texture and authenticity to the design.”

In her Instagram post, Sherrod explained, “To be recognized in both real estate and design means the world to me, because it represents exactly why I founded this company just two years ago.”
She continued, “This journey has always been about creating spaces that feel like home and serving clients with excellence, intention, and heart.”
“This one is for my entire team, the brilliant, dedicated people who keep the wheels moving forward every single day. None of this happens without you,” Sherrod added.
The former HGTV star wrote that she was grateful “for every client who trusts us, every partner who believes in us, and every opportunity to keep elevating the way families live and love in their homes.”
Fans flooded the comment section of the Instagram post with congratulatory notes.
“Congratulations!! You are absolutely everything you think you are,” one supporter wrote.
Another fan wrote, “Congratulations Egypt. You truly deserve it. And might I say you and Mike are looking marvellous!”
“Absolutely love it my Sis… Congrats and nothin but class and intellect!!!…and much more,” read someone else’s response.
In June, Sherrod revealed the disappointing news from HGTV about the cancellation of Married to Real Estate. She wrote that as she and Jackson returned to the U.S. from a trip abroad, they were “met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate.”
The couple’s show aired for four seasons on HGTV.
