The Celebrity Traitors final is already looming but there is one major change to this year’s show
The Celebrity Traitors is already coming to an end with only a few episodes left until we find out if the Traitors or the Faithfuls are the winning team. The BBC confirmed on social media last week that the grand finale will take place on Thursday November 6 at 9pm, which will be the ninth episode of the show.
The programme, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, will skip its usual Wednesday night slot on November 5, meaning there are now only three episodes left until the show concludes. The celebrity series is slightly shorter than the normal editions of the show, which tend to run for 12 episodes.
Viewers had also initially thought that the finale was set to air on Halloween, which would have tied in nicely with the show’s spooky theme. However, due to a scheduling conflict, fans have been left disappointed by the finale episode date as well as the shorter number of episodes.
Taking to Instagram, one wrote: “I read it was meant to end on Halloween somewhere? I guess the TV schedule had to change. Awful it’s only on twice a week and not three times.”
Another echoed: “This is insane scheduling when Halloween is right there, but I guess we might all watch.”
However, that’s not the only big change that will take place in this year’s finale.
Fans will be delighted to know that the final episode will run for 70 minutes instead of the the usual 60, meaning viewers will be treated to an extra ten minutes of intense drama.

The BBC confirmed the finale date earlier this month on Instagram with the caption: “By order of #TheTraitors, do not miss #TheCelebrityTraitors Finale from 6th Nov at 9pm. #ClaudiaWinkleman #Traitor #Faithful Famous… and faithful?
“An all-star cast are ready to play the ultimate game of deceit and betrayal. The fingerless gloves are ON – let the mind games begin!”
This was followed by a Traitors style invitation which reads: “You are cordially invited to The Celebrity Traitors Finale 9pm on November 6 on BBC iPlayer and BBC One.”
The Celebrity Traitors will return tonight to the BBC on Tuesday October 29 and Wednesday October 30 before the finale airs next week.

While the three Traitors, Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns are still flying under the radar, there is still time for the tables to turn.
The remaining Faithfuls are Joe Marler, Lucy Beaumont, Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Kate Garraway, David Olusoga.
Unlike the regular version of the show, the celebrities do not get a portion of the jackpot. The final prize fund is determined by how well the contestants compete in the daily missions.
The cash prize for the show will be donated to a charity of the winning contestant’s choice with up to 100,000 to win.
