SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Community leaders and advocates will come together on Saturday, March 8 to support local young women in need during the third annual “I Found Light Against All Odds” Celebrity Bartending event.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Plan B Restaurant, located at 1000 W. Columbus Ave., next to the Basketball Hall of Fame.

The evening aims to raise both funds and awareness for homeless and housing-insecure girls aged 18-20 from surrounding communities. The event will feature three back-to-back shifts of guest bartenders, each made up of influential women from across the region. From business leaders to community organizers, these women will take turns behind the bar to help raise money for programs that empower young women facing housing instability.

The bartender schedule includes:

  • First Shift: 5:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

  • Second Shift: 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

  • Third Shift: 7:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.

Proceeds from the evening will benefit I Found Light Against All Odds, an organization focused on providing critical resources and support to young women experiencing homelessness.
Organizers hope the event not only brings the community together for a good cause but also shines a light on the ongoing struggles many young women face when it comes to safe and stable housing.

Guests are encouraged to attend and enjoy food, drinks, and an evening of celebration, all while contributing to a mission of creating lasting change.
