Launched in 1992 by Ophélie Renouard, the Le Bal des Débutantes invites young women from around the world who come from notable families to make their society debut — and has a long history of including Hollywood royalty.
This year was no different as the glamorous affair welcomed the likes of Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance‘s daughter Bronwyn Golden Vance as well as Carolina Herrera’s granddaughter, Carolina Lansing. Past participants have included Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin‘s daughter Apple Martin, Nicole Ari Parker‘s daughter Sophie and Sophia Loren‘s granddaughter Lucia Sofia Ponti.
Read on to see all of the Hollywood offspring who have made their debut at the annual event.

Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance were quite the proud parents as they accompanied their daughter Bronwyn Golden to the luxe ball this year. Ahead of the 19-year-old’s grand debut, Le Bal’s official Instagram page shared several photos of Bronwyn (including the above) working on her gown with haute couture designer Stephane Rolland.
Hello! Mag shared footage of Bronwyn in her stunning dress, alongside her parents and twin brother, Slater Josiah. Angela and Courtney were also snapped having a good time on the dance floor during the event.

Sophia Loren‘s 18-year-old granddaughter Lucia, seen here with her parents and grandmother in 2021, stepped out as an honorary debutante at the star-studded event in 2024 wearing a strapless gown by Giorgio Armani Privé, Vogue reported. (See it in Hello! here.)
“I tend to go for dresses or clothes that make me feel confident but also are comfortable to wear,” Lucia told Hello! ahead of the event. “I had looked through other dresses that were featured in Le Bal in previous years, and they all individually represented the girls so beautifully. I just hoped to find a dress that would do the same for me.”

Looking ethereal in white Chanel at the 2007 event, the future Emily in Paris star told the Telegraph, “I’m about to start studying broadcast journalism so I wanted to get the inside scoop on the whole debutante thing. The idea of a traditional ball in a modern-day setting is brilliant. I think I will write something on it for Teen Vogue.”

Speaking to the Telegraph ahead of the 2007 event, then 17-year-old descendant of Lord Mountbatten and the daughter of the Marquess of Milford Haven, the Queen Elizabeth’s cousin, said, “It’s not about the ‘coming out’ into society for me. I’m at boarding school in middle-of-nowhere English countryside and I get to come to Paris to wear haute couture — who could resist?”
