Ant and Dec have revealed how an I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Star managed to smuggle a banned item into camp.
Over the years since the show has aired since 2002, plenty of celebrities have attempted rulebreaks, from Dean McCullough bringing in tea bags to Gillian McKeith hiding salt, herbs and spices in a pair of underwear.
This year appears to be no different, as the likes of Martin Kemp, Ruby Wax, Eddie Kadi and Jack Osbourne waved goodbye to all their luxuries and are attempting to survive on rice and beans in the Australian jungle.
Just hours ago, it was revealed Shona McGarty managed to smuggle in some air freshener, after Alex Scott was caught using salt while cooking.
After the footballing legend was punished for her rule break, with the rest of the camp losing a food star as a consequence, they were all warned to give up any other banned goods.
EastEnders actress Shona then stunned her fellow campmates with a can of air freshener.
And Ant and Dec have now revealed how she got hold of it during an Instagram Live chat.
According to The Sun, Dec said: “Actually, when you go down to trials, there’s a little kind of makeshift toilet for the celebs if you need the loo before the trial.”
He went on: “So, I think the air freshener was in there or around there and she swiped it.”
Viewers had been left baffled by Shona’s move, with one writing on X: “How tf did Shona manage to smuggle in a huge tin of air freshener then?????”
Another wrote: “Can someone explain how Shona managed to smuggle an entire air freshener into camp? The mystery of the season.”
Someone else said: “Shona wasn’t even the one to be caught with contraband but air freshener HAHAHAHAHAHAHA how the hell did she get that in.”
One fan added: “I think we’re all baffled as to how Shona managed to smuggle a can of air freshener in.”
Another echoed: “Shona whipping out a giant can of air freshener that literally nobody knew about actually made me snort laughing.”
Fans are now declaring Shona their winner after her “hilarious” swipe, with one commenting: “Shona to win after this.”
Another added: “That’s queen behaviour right there.”
