One of the most powerful couples in show business is reportedly breaking up.
According to multiple reports, including by People and TMZ, Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and Grammy winning country music star Keith Urban have split after 19 years of marriage.
The couple met 20 years ago in Los Angeles and married just over a year later near Sydney, Australia. They have called the Nashville area home in recent years along with their daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret.
People reported the couple have been living apart after Urban moved out of their home and the singer is the one driving the decision to separate.
“Their lives were moving in different directions, and once he quietly set up his own place, it felt like the writing was on the wall,” a source told People.
“It really hasn’t been a secret in their circles that Keith and Nicole have been living separately for a while now. People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable.”
Kidman is also mother to daughter Bella, 32, and son Connor, 30, from her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
The couple was last spotted together when they attended the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis in Nashville on June 20.
Kidman recently wrapped filming Practical Magic 2 in London. Urban has been on tour with his next stop scheduled in Hershey, Pa. on Oct. 2.
Reaction to the split has been strong.
“AMC Theatres should fly flags at half-mast today,” Frank Costa said.
“Just fell to my knees in the Olive Garden parking lot because what do you MEAN,” another X account posted.
“If these two are separating it’s over you guys, love is officially dead,” another reaction said.
“i’m generally so upset about nicole kidman and keith urban you’d think it’s my parents getting divorced, another said, adding ”in fact i think im more upset about this than i was when my parents got divorced.”
