“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Zac Affleck learned his wife, Jen Affleck, filed for divorce on the news.
Sources close to the situation told TMZ that Zac found out Jen pulled the plug on their marriage after seeing reports that she went to a Utah courthouse and filed the petition.
The insider noted Zac is now focused on their three children and making sure they’re doing OK amid the familial struggles.
On Wednesday, Page Six confirmed that Jen — who is currently pregnant with her and Zac’s fourth child — submitted her petition Tuesday in Utah County District Court.
The Hulu star attached a proposed parenting plan as well.
The estranged pair share three children — Nora, 4, Lucas, 3, and Penelope, 1 — with another on the way.
Their split made headlines on Wednesday — the same day as their eldest daughter’s birthday.
Both Jen and Zac celebrated the family milestone just hours after their divorce went public.
“I can’t believe she’s already 5,” Jen, 27, captioned a sweet snap of the little one posing beside a new bike in a streamer- and balloon-decorated kitchen.
Zac, meanwhile, shared a video of Nora blowing out candles on a birthday donut while one of her siblings played with a balloon in the background.
“Happy birthday Rara!” the 30-year-old wrote. “I hope all your dreams always come true.”
Additionally, Jen was noticeably absent from Zac’s Reel documenting a theme park trip he took with his oldest child.
Jen and Zac met on the Mormon dating app Mutual in 2018 and got married the following year.
Nora was born in November 2021 and Lucas was born in July 2023, followed by Penelope in July 2025.
The reality stars announced in June that they have another baby on the way.
Jen and Zac have been open about their marriage struggles on “SLOMW” since Season 1.
Jen shared that they went to therapy to resolve their issues and that their relationship was strengthened; however, tension in their marriage continued throughout the following seasons.
Fans watched Zac be unsupportive of Jen’s ambitions, including her wanting to appear on “Sports Illustrated,” as he was brought up in a “modest” household.
Jen also shared that he threatened to divorce her if she got an acting gig and played a character in a relationship with someone else.
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum is set to star in the Hulu reality series’ upcoming spinoff, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,” following the family’s move from Utah to Southern California.
