MANILA, Philippines — Sparkle GMA Artist Center has denied rumors linking actress and beauty queen Bianca Manalo to an alleged relationship controversy involving another couple.
The talent management agency on Friday said there is “no truth” to the claims circulating online and clarified that Manalo is currently single and not in a relationship.
“On behalf of our Sparkle Artist, Bianca Manalo, we would like to clarify that there is no truth to rumors circulating about her involvement with another couple. She is single and not in any relationship,” the agency said in a statement released June 12.
Sparkle added that it hopes the clarification would put the matter to rest and encouraged the public to “continue to spread and click kindness instead.”
The statement came after online speculation emerged following a report by business and entertainment news platform Bilyonaryo, which alleged that British software developer Jonathan Sterling had ended his relationship with former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder Celeste Cortesi and was being linked to Manalo.
According to the report, Sterling and Cortesi announced in April that they were expecting their first child together. The report later claimed that Sterling had allegedly moved on and was being romantically linked to Manalo, prompting widespread discussion online.
Neither Cortesi nor Sterling has publicly addressed the allegations as of Friday.
The rumors surfaced amid ongoing interest in Manalo’s personal life following reports that she and Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian had quietly parted ways after years of being together. The two had been publicly linked since 2018.
Earlier this year, Gatchalian described his love life as “non-existent” in a social media post.
