Nicole Kidman had her eyes wide open for this one.
The star revealed she “can do an autopsy,” while discussing her new role as forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta in the upcoming Prime series “Scarpetta.”
“I can remove all the organs,” Kidman continued while on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Monday. “I can name them all.”
When Fallon asked Kidman if she was a method actress, she simply replied: “Yes, I am.”
Kidman claimed that, before her appearance, the host had reached out to see if she was “willing” to perform an autopsy on “The Tonight Show,” which Fallon denied.
“Unless I misunderstood. Maybe it was on a dummy or something, but either way,” the 58-year-old teased. “I can remove the lungs and the liver and the gallbladder and the intestines.”
Kidman is a quick study, explaining to Fallon, 51, that she learned about the human body so quickly “because it’s part of the job, and I worked with an incredible medical examiner, and I studied him.”
The Oscar winner, who is an executive producer on “Scarpetta,” stars alongside Simon Baker, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Jake Cannavale, Rosy McEwen, Amanda Righetti and Hunter Parrish in the thriller series.
The show is adapted from the book series of the same name by Patricia Cornwell.
“It’s a medical examiner who is coming back to her job after 30 years, and there’s a parallel story of the two crimes that have happened in present day and 30 years ago,” Kidman elaborated. “That’s the beginning, and then there’s all the family drama. If you like crime thrillers, which there is a ton of people out there who like crime.”
The official logline reads: “As Scarpetta pursues justice, she must navigate complicated relationships, including the fraught dynamic with her sister Dorothy Farinelli, confront long-held professional and personal grudges, and face secrets that threaten to unravel everything she’s built.”
As Fallon put it: “Don’t mess with Nicole Kidman. She’s the best at every single thing. You are just awesome.”
Kidman’s newest project comes six months after she split from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage in September.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told us at the time, adding that the Australian actress “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”
Kidman then filed for divorce on Sept. 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The exes, who share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, had reportedly been living apart since the beginning of summer 2025.
Following their breakup, Urban was rumored to be romantically involved with his guitarist, Maggie Baugh. However, Baugh’s friend quickly slammed any speculation.
Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001.
She and the “Top Gun” star share two kids: Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
Kidman first met Urban four years after her divorce at a G’Day USA gala in January 2005 before tying the knot in 2006.
Kidman and Urban finalized their divorce in January, agreeing to waive all rights to child and spousal support.
Per their agreement, their daughters will stay with the “Big Little Lies” alum for 306 days of the year. Meanwhile, the rocker will be able to spend “every other weekend” with them.
Urban, 58, and Kidman, agreed that neither would pay child support, citing reported monthly incomes exceeding $100,000 each.
They also agreed that all property — including investments, bank accounts, household furniture, appliances, vehicles and personal items — will be divided by mutual agreement, with each retaining what is currently in their possession.
Additionally, all alimony and spousal support claims were waived, and they are responsible for their own legal fees and expenses.
