Here’s a toast to…hoping our invite got lost in the mail.
While there were plenty of pop culture moments to get FOMO over this year, none was quite as angst-inducing as Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding. Or Patrick Schwarzenegger’s union to Abby Champion’s wedding. Or Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s no-expenses-spared Italian bash, or, really, any number of the 2025 ceremonies that saw celebrities making it officially official.
Indeed, it was evident that love was in the air this year as many happy celebrity couples tied the knot. At the beginning of the year, The Bachelorette alum Gabby Windey truly found love in a hopeless place by eloping with comedian Robby Hoffman after evacuating Los Angeles amid the January wildfires.
“It was literally the best night of my life,” Gabby told Cosmopolitan in March of the pair’s $700 Las Vegas ceremony. “We were dancing, taking pictures. We got maybe 15 minutes flat with Reverend Nature.”

Meanwhile, other stars took a page from the Amazon founder and Sanchez’s wedding planning book, throwing extravagant multi-day bashes worthy of a red carpet. Among the stars who RSVP’d yes to the couple’s July affair in Venice, Italy were Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah and several members of the Kardashian family.
That same month, Charli XCX officially concluded her Brat summer by tying the knot with the 1975’s George Daniel in an intimate civil ceremony in London. Trust, however, that the 365 party girl threw a bash for all of her friends a few months later, with Matty Healy, Julia Fox and dozens of other A-listers in attendance as they celebrated their marriage this past September in Sicily.

Also in September, Abby and Patrick emulated a Western dream sequence celebrating with his famed fam—including parents Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver—as well as the groom’s The White Lotus family, with Jason Isaacs, Sam Nivola and Sarah Catherine Hook hitting the dance floor.
“I still can’t believe it’s over—it all flew by like a dream,” Abby told Vogue of the couple’s Idaho nuptials. “I’m so excited to start this next chapter with Patrick.”
Of course, no wedding had more enviable invitees than Selena and Benny’s late September soiree. Not only were stars like SZA and Paris Hilton on the seating chart, but the couple’s famous friends Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift delivered heartfelt toasts.
“I got to see her be the most elegant, gorgeous, not only bride but just vision—I’ve never seen anything so beautiful as her on her wedding day,” Taylor told Jimmy Fallon during an October appearance on The Tonight Show, going on to recall parts of her speech. “I did do some light teasing about the way that we used to dress in 2008, the year that we met, ‘cause we met when we were teenagers.”
For Selena—and surely every other star this year—however, the real party is the lifetime ahead with their partner.
“It has been a dream so far,” she said of marriage on Apple Music Nov. 13. “I know it will come with ebbs and flows, but it’s the most beautiful person that I can do that with.”
