When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, I thought, “Are they going to have a spring or a summer wedding?” I really, really need to know.

Since Tay and KillerTrav are 💍 official, I figured I’d run back all the celebrities who are currently married (or engaged) to professional athletes, and perhaps it’ll help us figure out which date Taylor and Travis choose for their nuptials.
1.First up, fashion designer and singer Victoria Beckham and former professional soccer player David Beckham were married on July 4, 1999.

The pair met when Victoria was still Posh Spice and David played for Manchester United in 1997. They announced their engagement the next year and were married a few months after their son, Brooklyn, was born in 1999.
In a 2017 BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs interview, David said, “We know each other better than anybody. People have talked about, ‘Do we stay together because it’s a brand?’ Of course not. We stay together because we love each other, because we have four amazing children. Do you go through tough times? Of course. That’s part of relationships. It’s part of marriages. It’s part of having children. It’s part of having responsibilities.”
2.Professional gymnast Simone Biles and Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens were married on April 22, 2023.

The pair officially met on the Raya dating app in March 2020, went Instagram official that summer, and became engaged two years later after supporting each other’s successful athletic careers.
3.Singer-songwriter Ciara and New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson were married on July 6, 2016.

The pair met back in 2015, making their first public appearances at a White House event and the BET Awards the following month, and they were engaged a year later.
In a 2024 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Ciara said, “After the first time we met, we both did the same thing. He told his friend on the elevator going down, ‘She’s the one,’ and I called my best friend, who was my matron of honor, my makeup artist for legitimately 24 years, my best friend, right, and I said, ‘Yoli, I don’t want to jinx anything, but I think…’ and she goes, ‘He’s the one,’ and I go, ‘Yessss.’”
4.TV personality and talk show host Elisabeth Hasselbeck and former professional football player Tim Hasselbeck were married on July 6, 2002.

5.Actor and singer Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen were married on May 31, 2025.

The pair first sparked dating rumors in May 2023 and became Instagram official, posting cute photos in Paris two months later. Josh proposed in 2024, and they made their red carpet debut a few months later at the NFL Honors.
Talking about her proposal for Who What Wear, Hailee said, “I’m so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we’ll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I’m not looking at being like, ‘What was I wearing?'”
6.Actor Kerry Washington and former professional football player Nnamdi Asomugha were married on June 24, 2013.

Despite their successful careers, the pair has kept most of their relationship out of the spotlight. We know they’re married and have children, and that’s all we’re getting out of them.
7.Actor Gabrielle Union and former professional basketball player Dwyane Wade were married on August 30, 2014.

The pair began dating back in 2008, and after a brief split, they reunited, which led to their marriage.
During his induction speech for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Dwyane said, “My wife, Gab, thank you for making our house a home. 9.Singer Carrie Underwood and former professional hockey player Mike Fisher were married on July 10, 2010.

10.Model and actor Kate Upton and San Francisco Giants pitcher Justin Verlander were married on November 4, 2017.

11.Country singer Jessie James Decker and former professional football player Eric Decker were married on June 22, 2013.

The pair began dating in 2011 and met through mutual friends, and they became engaged the following year.
Talking with People while on Dancing With The Stars, Jessie James said of her relationship with Eric, “I think we just have such a strong foundation of a marriage … Being busy doesn’t affect anything. We just love each other.”
12.Singer Enrique Iglesias and former professional Russian tennis player Anna Kournikova have been together for over twenty years.

The pair first met in 2001 when Anna starred in his “Escape” music video. After many years together, they’re now expecting their fourth child.
13.Actor and singer Vanessa Hudgens and former professional baseball player Cole Tucker were married on December 2, 2023.

The pair first met in a Zoom meditation group, went Instagram official in 2021, and became engaged at the end of 2022.
“He’s just kind of perfect for me,” Vanessa told Entertainment Tonight in 2021. “I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it’s also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I’ve been making that a priority, and I feel like it’s just been making magic happen all the more.”
14.Actor Holly Robinson Peete and former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete were married on June 10, 1995.

The pair met through a mutual friend, actor Lela Rochon, in the early ’90s. Rodney then proposed to Holly during a 1994 episode of Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, which she starred in with Mark Curry, Dawnn Lewis, and Raven-Symoné.
15.Screenwriter and director Dustin Lance Black and British Olympic diver Tom Daley were married on May 6, 2017.
The pair first met in 2013 at a Los Angeles dinner party after Tom won a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, and they became engaged two years later.
Celebrating their 8-year anniversary in 2021, Tom shared a series of photos on Instagram with a heartfelt caption. “8 years ago we met at a dinner, we lived on opposite sides of the pond and thought it was going to be impossible to make it work … but we did!” he wrote. Dustin shared his own version writing, “8 YEARS of adventures, blurry naps, endless nights, sore faces from smiling, laughing, exhaustion from night feeds, baby tears. A family. 16.Chloe Stroll and Australian Olympic snowboarder Scotty James were married on May 12, 2023.

17.Actor Candace Cameron Bure and former professional hockey player Valeri Bure were married on June 22, 1996.

The pair first met at one of Valeri’s hockey games in 1994, which she attended with her Full House castmates Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and Lori Loughlin.
Reflecting on her relationship with Valeri on the Confessions of a Crappy Christian podcast in 2020, Candace defended her faith after she posted a risque photo on her Instagram. “I’ve been married for 24 years. I’m a Christian, my husband’s a Christian, and I’m really proud that we’ve managed to stay married for 24 years. And the fact that we have fun and we flirt together, this is part of what makes our marriage work,”
18.Lastly, Actor Elisha Cuthbert and professional hockey player Dion Phaneuf were married on July 6, 2013.
